The seconds pass by as you lie, unmoving.

Something isn't-

"Good morning!" You're taken away from your thoughts by a gentle knock at your door.

You yawn, sitting up in your bed.

"Morning mom." You mumble, still trying to adjust to being awake.

Eda opens the door and walks in, holding a plate of pancakes.

"Check out this human recipe Luz's mom taught me!" Eda proudly smiles.

"I'm a bit of a master chef if I do say so myself." she hums.

"You set the kitchen on fire!" Raine yells from downstairs.

"Only twice!" Eda yells back.

You let out a chuckle as she hands you the plate.

"Thanks mom, you did..." You glance down at the plate of charcoal.

"...greattt..." You fake a smile.

Eda doesn't believe you but gives you a pat on the head regardless.

You take a bite. It's somehow not as bad as it seemed it would be.

"Oh! I almost forgot, I'm heading to Willow's place in an hour to practice flyer derby tricks!" you say.

Eda's expressions turns into a smug one. "Is Hunter gonna be there?" she hums.

You toss a pillow at her.

"No, just me and Willow."

Nova chirps and flies over onto your shoulder, looking away as if she's offended.

"And Nova of course." you correct yourself, handing the palisman a piece of your "pancake".

Eda leaves you to get changed.

"Nova, can you bring me the-" You turn to look at Nova only to see her held in the air by a vine through her chest.

Your pulse quickens as you feel a sharp pain in your side.

You close your eyes for a moment. When they open, the pain stops and Nova flies over to your shoulder, completely unharmed.

What just...?

You shake it off. You're just... delusional.

An hour later you fly over to Willow's house.

You knock on the door.

"Come in!" Willow calls.

You smile and open the door, expecting Willow. Instead you're greeted by darkness. It swallows you, covering every inch with a pitch black.

All you can hear is the ticking of a clock.

You count the seconds.

"Y/n?" Hunters voice calls through the dark.

"Hunter...?" You turn. You see him. He's standing across from you. He looks... scared.

He opens his mouth, about to run to you.

"Y/n!" Willow slaps you awake.

You sit up, your eyes widening as you gasp for breath. You're lying at her doorstep.

"Are you okay? You just- passed out!" She stutters, helping you up.

There's that pain in your side again. It feels like something is there. Something piercing through you.
