'Eleanor!' She pulls me down the corridor, ignoring my constant requests to slow down, and to stop altogether. My long light blonde hair keeps flying into my face, making my blue eyes strain to see the path ahead. We finally slow down and stop, thank God. I straighten my dark blue jumper dress, and try to pat down my now windswept hair. I mentally check myself to make sure my appearance is presentable and walk into the main part of Fountain Studios to see people about to rehearse; Eleanor’s face lights up at the sight of presumably Louis, making me mentally gag. We walk down one of the many aisles, the seats flanking our sides, and when we reach the bottom we take a couple of seats just off the center chairs.

Eleanor’s boyfriend and his band mates take to the centre of the stage to rehearse their song they're performing tonight, Little Things or something like that. I think that's what I was told, I'm not massive fans of One Direction, I know full well they can sing as I've heard them live before, one of my little sisters, Jasmine is a fan. They start singing as an older man, with graying hair, and about a foot taller than me, walks over. He looks down at his clip board and looks back up at me, worry obvious on his face. I smile, reassuring the man that I don't bite.

'A-Avery Jackson?' I nod, smiling even wider, trying to look as sincere as possible. 'Your needed after One Direction have finished performing, because you have your own sound check don't you?' He questions.

'Yes, erm...?'

'Lewis' He mutters, I nod and he walks off leaving me to my opinions on One Direction, cute guys with great voices. I look over to Eleanor and sigh dramatically. My best friends face of amazement makes me seem like such a depressing person. Her brown waves reach halfway down her chest, and her brown eyes are, more or less, shining. Her simple vintage outfit looks much more planned than my pick up, put on and go choice. She's wearing her high waisted light wash jeans, and a white simple crop top, with her black ankle boots, and burgundy cardigan. My simple dark blue jumper dress and black Jeffrey Campbells make me look too plain to be the singer I'm known as. I'm Avery Jackson one of the world’s most well known singers and 2 years ago I was a 16 year old girl with a big dream of sharing music with the world, but little to my knowledge, I didn't know what else came with it; the hectic schedule, the rumors, the people that want to use you, for being, well, you. It's getting to be too much, and only last week did it sink in that I might have to go quiet, but one thing got me to pull through; my fans. I can't let them down, it'd kill me, they say I inspire them to follow their own dreams and if I give up my own then what would that show? I was a quitter.

One Direction finish their song and I give them a little round of applause where as El is furiously clapping away, Louis comes over and whisks her away making me sigh. They're definitely in love, I think. Lewis walks over and directs me to the stage, setting me up with my my earpiece, and informing me on what to do and not to do. I was supposed to sing my new song Shine Ya Light tonight, a song I wrote for my fans and myself. I start off the song, when I’m told through my earpiece and finish on the we gold, we gold, we shine. I finish earning myself a little round of applause from four shadows in the seats and two from the side of the stage, so One Direction and Eleanor. I smile and do a mock courtesy, laughing. I take my in ear piece out and let it rest on my shoulder, I get thrown a bottle of water by someone who works backstage, and drink half the bottle within seconds. God, I’m thirsty. I walk off stage, and to the seats. I sit down in a chair away from the boys, and El, and pull my phone out of my bra - a safe place to put a phone by the way. I check my twitter and decide to tweet some fans.

@AveryJackson: Just finished a quick rehearsal for the X Factor - who's tuning in tonight?
