'Hey Anne, want me to help?' She shoos me away, and I go back into the living room, sitting next to Gemma. 'What's going on?' I ask her. Robin, Harrys step-dad and Harry are playing cards, looking very serious.
'Every year they play a game of poker, God knows why. Harry always loses but he does it anyway.' She laughs.
'And then Harry acts like a five year old and moans.' Robin chuckles.
'I do not.' Harry insists, sending a smile my way. They play for five more minutes before Robin starts laughing.
'I win.' He cheers. Harry stands and walks out of the room and up the stairs, the sound of the door slamming gives it all away. We all laugh, and I stand.
'I'll sort it out.' I laugh. I jog up the stairs, and knock on the door with 'Harry' on it.
'Go away.' He moans. I open the door and look around his old room. Its plain dark blue, no sign of the old Harry here, except a picture of him and Gemma, tacked onto a mirror. He's laying on his old single bed, his face buried in his pillow. I sit on the end of his bed and rub his leg.
'Oi, grow up.' I laugh. He turns, and sits up.
'I will never grow up.' He crosses his arms, pouting.
'Alright then, Peter Pan.' He stands on his old bed and starts jumping. 'What are you doing?' I ask. He jumps off his bed, landing on his ass.
'Harry Edward Styles!' Anne shouts, making us both laugh. He pulls me down on top of him, my legs either side of him.
'I was never aloud girls in my room.' He states. I fold my hands on his chest, leaning my head on them.
'I wonder why.' I laugh, as he trails a finger up and down my spine. 'Come on.' I stand, and offer my hand to help him up. He takes it, and I pull him up as best I can. 'You're so fat.' I laugh as he stands.
'Hey!' He pokes my side, as we walk out of his old room. He picks me up and throws me over his shoulder running down the stairs.
'Harry!' I squeal. He puts me down in the living room, and we both sit leaning up against the radiator.
'Present time!' Anne says. Everyone cheers, as she organizes the presents into piles she hands them all out, and we open them all at the same time. I open up my present from Gemma first - a beautiful burgundy wool dress. I thank her, already in love with it. Robin and Anne, got me a Harry Styles poster for when he's away on tour, and a beanie, scarf and mittens set in bright red. I also thank them, and that's when I open Harrys. God knows what he's gotten me. I open up the first and it's a paper airplane necklace, the same as his own. I smile and put it on, the airplane, next to my swallow. I open his next one and it's a I <3 Harry Styles top, I laugh but kiss his cheek anyway. I open my last one from him, the new iPod touch in blue and white - exactly the one I wanted.
'Thanks curly.' I kiss his cheek, and turn it on. It's already been set up, and I check the music. One song is on their already and I plug the earphones in and play it. It's Harry singing Isn't She Lovely. That's my favourite song he has ever sung and I've always asked him to record himself singing it for me - but he always went shy and said no. 'Well it's about time you recorded it.' I remark. He opens the first couple of gifts smiling. I tricked him the other day when we went shopping, because I kept asking what he thought about certain things, and the things he said he really liked I bought. I bought him a few Calvin Klein and Diesel aftershaves and some jumpers from River Island and a gift card for Topshop.
'Thank you.' He turns my head towards him, and pecks my lips, then leaving a kiss on my nose, then forehead. We pull back and he wraps his arm around my shoulders.
'Oh Avery!' I turn my attention to Anne, and she's holding up the red coat she wanted from yesterday. 'I told you I didn't need it.' She laughs.
'And I told you, you were made for it!' I return. Yesterday we went into the town, and in one of the shops she eyed the coat, but as soon as she saw it was £127 she sighed, and I wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't crying herself to sleep last night.
'Yes Avery!' Robin cheers, holding up his new poker set, in aluminium case. Gemma starts dancing around the living room, then ruffling my hair. 'Gemma?' Anne asks. Gemma holds out the Guess watch she wanted yesterday from the jewelers. 'Now Avery, you shouldn't spend that much money on us. With Harry it's OK, he's our son, but Avery!' She tuts, making me and Harry laugh. Robin starts setting up his new set immediately.
'Harry how about a rematch?' Robin challenges. Harry shakes his head and I pipe up.
'I will.'
'Go on Avery!' Gemma shouts.
Me and Robin play for about an hour till I place my cards on the table.
'I win.' I remark. He groans, and strops out of the room.
'No way!' Harry shouts. I turn and nod, smiling. Gemma, and Anne high five me, then they both leave the room. Gemma answering the door Anne checking on the turkey, and Robin. I sit down next to Harry on the floor again, and he puts his arm around me, planting a kiss on my temple. 'You have another present at my house.' I turn to him confused.
'What?' He nods smiling.
