Chapter 1: The Awakening

Yeon's POV:
"Yeon pls come here at our place, it is urgent.  -Granny"  this was written in the letter that was sent through the wind an hour ago, I'm a little hesitant to go since everyone thinks I'm human now but why would granny message me? Ahhh what should I do? Granny, of all people why me? Of all days why now?

"Yeon, are you okay?" Oh yeah Ji A is with me, I looked at her and saw how concerned she was for me

"Yes Ji A, I'm sorry for not listening, um what was that again?"

"I was just asking what was that letter from the wind was?" Should I tell her? Keeping it as secret wouldn't stop Granny from sending me letters anyway.

Well here goes nothing "Its granny, she want me to go to their place to discuss something, But I'm planning not to go"

"No, you need to go. She hasn't sent you any letters before, so I think this is urgent, so pls go"

"But what about you?"

"If you want I can go with you"

"Okay, I'll go but only if you come with me"

"Sure".

While on our way to granny's place I'm thinking about some possible situations on why I was needed, but I can't think of any. Of all people granny is the only one who knows I'm not human I think, but if she really knows then she has put up a good act.

"Yeon calm down, were here" Ji A said,

"Oh, I'm sorry for spacing out" I answered then walked towards Granny's place.

As we entered I saw Granny, Hyun Eui-ong, Shinjoo, Yuri and Su ho(reincarnated blacky), all looking serious "Since we're complete let me start" Granny said, "Last midnight at exactly 12:00 AM, a great rage of power was awoken" Granny started, Oh yeah! That strange power that was like challenging me or telling me that this power is stronger than mine "Now that you've mentioned it, I felt it too, but for how many years I've been with Mr. Lee I know that this strange power is stronger than his" Shinju explained "Stronger than Lee Yeon? Isn't he 1000 years old already, doesn't he have the same strength as a shaman? I thought he's the strongest fox among all foxes" Yuri continuously asked and based on the expression she showed it's clear that she is confused "Indeed this power is stronger than Yeon since it is from our fellow fox" Fellow fox? "Wait Granny, so does that mean he is an ally?"

"No Yeon, if looks can be deceiving so are fellow species."

"What?! Granny are you serious? So what happened last midnight was a sign that they are coming?"

"Yes Yeon, but unlike the Imoogi who used his power to force people around him to become his ally, this unknown source of this power has allies even before he evolved"

"Evolved?" Ji A asked "Yes, since this power is extraordinary and after asking my brother Hades I confirmed that this power is not the owner's normal power but an evolved one"

"Evolution of powers... so does that mean our powers can evolve too?" Shinju excitedly asked "Yes Shinju, your powers can also evolve" Eui-ong answered, "But it takes a lot of training and risk" granny said ruining the mood.

"But don't worry... I know someone who can help" granny said while smirking "Someone? Is he 1000 years old too? Or more than 1000?" I excitedly asked "No Yeon, she is still 516 years old" Eui-ong said "516? Isn't she too young?" Yuri asked "Oh she might be young but believe me she's stronger than you think and to top it all off her power is her normal power and not evolved, she also helped some of your fellow foxes to have their powers evolved" Eui-ong proudly said.

Okay well this feels wrong since this fellow fox who is gonna help us is too young but really her power is stronger than a nine-tailed fox?..... WAIT DID THEY JUST SAY... SHE?!  

"But why is Yeon involved in this?" Ji Ah asked "Because he is the only fox that can complete this mission" Granny hissed "But Yeon is now human" Ji Ah answered, shoot, how can I forget about being human "You do know I am capable to revive Yeon's powers" Granny answered "But this is Yeon's dream, to be free from all these missions and to live normally like a human, right Yeon?" Ji Ah asked me "Umm, Y-yes, Yes Granny this is my one and only dream, to live with Ji Ah free from all these power related missions"

"Even though you know that people and nature's lives will be in  danger?" You really know my weak sides Granny don't you? "Well, it d-depends on how badly they need my help.." I answered

AT THE GUARDIAN OF THE SAMDO RIVER'S PLACE

Granny's POV:
"Jae Rin, please just this once come home"

"Granny I already told you I can't, I still have important things to do, and besides you can train them since you are the one who trained us"

"Please Jae Rin, I know deep in myself that I can train Yeon's team, but it's, them"

"Them?"

"Yes... them"

"Since when did they arrived in Korea?"

"Last midnight"

"Okay.... yes Chan? Okay I'll take a look at it, I'm sorry Granny but I need to go"

"Jae Rin WAIT, they're here with a stronger power an evolved one can you just ple-..(call ended) HEY! DID YOU JUST CUT THE CALL?!! YAHHH!! JAE RIN!!"

And she really had the nerve to cut my call. *Eui-ong peeking "and that ends the 98th call of the day *crossing the number 98 on the list*

"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?!"

"Um, nothing honey, i was just calculating how many times I ate nangmyeon today (*in a really small voice* even though I don't really eat nangmyeon)" 

Oh Jae Rin please come home we need you.

A DAY AFTER*

Yeon's POV:
We are gathered in Granny's place again hoping that this mysterious girl would come as what I understood
"Granny can't you just sense where she is or when she will come? This is taking forever"

"As much as I want to Yeon, she is far more powerful than you expect, even I can't use my powers on her" Granny answered

"Really? That's how powerful she is? She can block powers? even yours?" Ji A asked

"Yes Ji Ah" Eui-ong answered "But going back to the issue, can't our combined powers be enough to defeat this mysterious power? Combined power as in Mr. Lee, Yuri, and I" Shinju asked

"If Rang were here then you 4 would be enough to defeat only one of them but there's a lot of them" Eui-ong blurted

"Even though Rang was half human half fox, he is stronger than you seem , but since he's not here we are left with no other option but to evolve you three" Granny said

*WOOSH*

"Did anyone felt what I felt?" Yuri asked

"Yes, Granny what was that?"

"Someone's here, but this fox is not alone" Granny said with a little panick in her voice.

As we are running towards the front door *Creak*(door opens) and as it opened 7 young looking men are standing outside "Anneyong" One said.
