Chapter 14: Trick

Jae-Rin's POV:
"Shut up, oppa" I answered in which he smiled.

Hongjoong's POV:
Oppa? Great she calls this problem fox oppa while she doesn't call the others oppa, I thought as I rolled my eyes at them.

Anyways, so this fox has been hiding here all along. I thought they hid him since his powers are extraordinary they say, now I've confirmed it!

"We've confirmed it" a voice beside me said "Ah! Yes! WE'VE confirmed it" I answered, how did he know what I was saying? I asked myself

"Ya, You're with me, Seonghwa, I know what you all are thinking except for those two, they're extraordinary" the person beside me answered, trying to trick me huh? I thought

"Ya! San! Are you trying to mess with m-" I cut myself off as I looked at Seonghwa's mad face, "Miane~" I said as I looked back at Jae-Rin and Hyunjin. Well that's not embarrassing, I thought as I literally face palmed myself, if only the San didn't got in my nerves last mission I wouldn't have had to face this humiliation.

"You know what, you always get mad at San for no reason at all but always end up looking for him, you're always making ways to push him away but always volunteers him as your partner whenever you're assigned to a mission, and you always complain about him always beside you but now you're mistaking the person you're with as San, you, you're making me go insane!" Seonghwa said as he sighed and laid back on his seat

"What are you two talking about?" Changsub hyung asked as he came to our table carrying drinks "Hyung what's this for?" I asked while pointing at the drinks

"You said they gave out free drinks so now I'm gonna give you guys free drinks so that you can smile a little bit" Hyung answered as he handed me a strawberry yogurt smoothie "Hyung~" I softly said I tried to force a tear out of my eyes "my favorite~" I finally cried as I remembered our good old days.

"Honestly though, are you crying because of the drink or are you crying because of the past?" Seonghwa asked "Stop ruining the mood by using your specialty" I snapped, you've been using your mind reading skills too much and it's getting irritating, I said in my mind as I glared at him, then he just stucked his tongue out at me.

"Past is past always remember that  wait don't we always remind you guys that?" Changsub hyung asked "Yes Hyung you always remind us that" Seonghwa answered whike I mimicked at the side, then I took a deep breath as I remembered how we usually made fun of Changsub hyung before things got this way.

"But we can't help but miss the old times hyung, it's still a part of us" I answered "A part of your memory not a part of you" Changsub  hyung answered

"A memory that we still can revive, a memory we still can relive" a voice and I answered, wait, a voice? I looked at my back and saw San smiling shyly

"Seonghwa hyung called me" he said while trying to look far away "How did you know what I wanted to say?" I asked

"You always say that when we're on a mission, so I though about it and I realized you are right" He answered "There's nothing wrong with trying to relive the past, but things are different now she killed Minhyuk she doesn't feel the pain your other hyungs and I feel since she hasn't seen Minhyuk's hard work and dedication just to become the strongest fox by taming his powers. She only saw Minhyuk when he finally got the title as the strongest fox" Seonghwa and Changsub hyung answered "Ya! Stop it, it'sbecoming irritating" Changsub hyung scolded Seonghwa "Miane~ hehe" Seonghwa answered.

I never forgot how hurt we were especially our other hyungs, but did they forgot how hurt Jae-Rin was when she was holding her brother's body slowly disappearing as it turned to dust?

3rd Person's POV:
The next day their training went smoothly since no one interrupted them but still Jae-Rin didn't join them for dinner. As midnight came she then faced usual scary, bloody, and traumatic nightmare.

"Oppa!" Jae-Rin shouted as she woke up from her dream, it's another one of her nightmares related to Minhyuk's death. She looked around her room, wiped her nightmare sweat, and stood up. She walked towards the door of her room opened it saw the food the others taked out for her, she sighed and took it.

But before she could go back inside "Wanna watch the stars?" A voice near her said, she clearly remembered not seeing anyone near, she looked up and saw Jisung coming out from the shadows, she was a bit surprised but she still nodded in response to his invitation.

They sat down on top of a hill they chose, Jae-Rin looked back to see how far they've gone "We're far from there, and far from them" Jisung assured her.

Jae-Rin was again surprised with how Jisung reacted but she acted unbothered with it.

They sat and Jisung opened the food for Jae-Rin then they started eating "Ya! I thought these are mine" Jae-Rin complained "Ya, do you know how far we are? And we even used our powers, of course I'd be hungry" Jisung answered as he ate

"You're not even wearing your necklace" Jae-Rin answered with her dark coice, she then looked up and Jisung got startled as he saw Jae-Rin's eyes turn purple.

Jae-Rin quickly choked Jisung using her arm and asked "Mind reading is Seonghwa's specialty, Levitating is Jong Ho's specialty, and Invisibility is Seungjae's Specialty. What are you trying to prove? That I can't detect it? Who are you trying to fool?"

Jisung looks like he's having a hard time breathing so he then used his special power, he copied Chan's power, he tried to control Jae-Rin but because of how powerful she is Jisung's copying power couldn't prevail.

"You want me to take the life out of you right now?" Jae-Rin angrily said as she felt Jisung try to use his powers again, then she choked him even harder.

"It's not me, it's not me, it's not me" Jisung repeatedly said as he tried to explain, Jae-Rin then stopped choking him and let him catch his breath while holding his neck

"Explain" She impatiently said "Someone in the pack is secretly meeting the others, I followed him and there I saw them again, I took the chance to copy their powers so that if they'd try to attack us I can hopefully use it against them" Jisung explained

"Who?" Jae-Rin asked "I can't or they'll kill me" Jisung defeatedly said

"You got caught? Huh. Well, It's either they'll kill you or I'll kill you" Jae-Rin threatened as purple smoke slowly turned bigger on the palm of her hand

"Well then, go and find out yourself" he said then Jisung's body shapeshifted to San.
San tauntingly said "It's been a while Purple Fox" while smirking, but Jae-Rin smirked back and said "Wrong move, weaklings" then she let go of the purple smoke she formed.
