The door of the truck bursts open and Julia is forced in by Rumlow, then strapped down to the seat opposite me. The same metal contraption that holds mine, Steve, Sam, and Nat's hands down is attached to hers. Something like the cuff that Killian used on me back at his compound has been wrapped around my wrist and I'm slumped down in my seat.

"Keep an eye on her." Rumlow instructs the two guards sitting in our truck, "The asset is acting up with her in his vehicle."

Then, he glares at all of us and leaves, slamming the door behind him; a minute or two after he leaves, we start driving. My eyes stay fixed on Julia, the two of us just maintaining icy eye contact, neither of us wanting to concede and drop it first.

Nat squints at the girl next to her, "Do I know you?"

"Does Aria?" Sam asks, "'Cause she's really glaring."

I break eye contact with her and scowl at Sam, "I'm fine."

"Okay. Okay." he raises his eyebrows miserably, "And you?" he glances at Steve.

"It was him." Steve says, his eyes fixed on the metal floor, "He looked right at me like he didn't even know me."

"How is that even possible? It was like seventy years ago."

"Zola. Bucky's whole unit was captured in forty-three, presumed dead. I guess... Zola experimented on him. Whatever he did helped Bucky survive the fall. They must have found him and-"

Nat cuts him off, "None of that's your fault, Steve."

"Even when I had nothing, I had Bucky."

Blood seeps out of the wound in Nat's shoulder and she rolls her head back in exhaustion, "We need to get a doctor here. If we don't put pressure on that wound, she's gonna bleed out here in the truck." Sam snaps at the guard.

"They don't care." I groan, sounding just as weak as Nat does, "They're going to kill us in ten minutes anyway."

"You're not injured too, are you?" Sam asks.

"These", I simply raise my wrists, "are draining all energy from my blood. If HYDRA doesn't kill me first, I'll be dead in twenty minutes."

"How does that work?"

"If I have to explain the science, it'll be ten minutes."

Sam jerks in his seat, trying to lurch at the guards, "Come on, you've gotta help 'em!"

One of the guards goes to tase Sam and we all flinch, but they flick their taser around and stab it into the other guard, then kick them straight across the face, knocking them out. They pull their helmet off and we all gawp as we see Maria Hill underneath the helmet.

"Ah. That thing was squeezing my brain." she sighs; she looks at Sam, then at Julia, "Who are these guys?"

"Childhood best friend," I grumble tiredly.

"What?" everyone stares at me.

"Long story... I'll tell you when I'm not dying." I squint at Hill, "Uh... Maria, could you take these off my wrists so we can escape?"

"Oh, yeah."

She leans forward and takes off the cuffs then undoes the metal restraints around my wrists, before moving on to undo everyone else's. Then I use up all the little energy I have and lift my leg, kicking Julia in the face so she passes out. Then, I flop back down into my chair and, exhausted, pass out too.

Merry Christmas season or December, if you don't celebrate! Only a short one today but I'm really drained so I'm just going to rest and recuperate. Ooh, I got my test results back for physics and I got a 9, which in American terms is like an A+ I think. Hope you all had a good day! Remember to vote and comment! See you all next chapter! (;
