Onboard one of the hundreds of Lucrehulk-class cruisers, the Viceroy and his lieutenant Rune Haako update their benefactor of their position. "All rebellion has been quelled, my lord. Our armies are preparing to move on the other primitive cities underwater as we speak."

The blue hologram of the hooded male tilted his head. "Good. And the Queen Amidala. Has she signed the treaty?"

Both Nemodians gulped, exchanging frightened looks with one another at relaying bad news to a Sith. Already, the man was seething, his teeth clenched. Nute Gunray nervously swallowed down his fears, speaking, "She has...disappeared my lord."

His eyes glanced at his lieutenant, who was sitting in fright. Seeing that he would have no help, the Viceroy looked back at Darth Sidious. "One Naboo light cruiser got past the blockade."

Back on Corusant, waves of sudden rage and anger poured out of Sidious into the Force. Darth Plaguis glanced towards Palpatine's room in the Sith temple, where raw emotions of the Dark side were pouring out like water gushing from a broken sewer pipe.

On the Naboo starfighter in one of the droid rooms with R2 nearby in power down, Darth Vader privately smirked as he sensed his former Sith master choking on his own rage and hatred. Most likely the news of his Padme's escape had pissed the Sith apprentice off, it was music to his senses.

"I want that treaty signed." Sidious snarled angrily.

"But my Lord," Nute Gunray protested, trying not to cower. "It's impossible to locate the ship. It entered hyperspace, and is out of our range." The Sith growled, and the Viceroy jumped in fear. "We cannot track it."

Darth Sidious looked to his current apprentice, Darth Maul, who was standing behind him and watching, just out of range of the holoprojector. Maul would make a useful Sith warrior, his purpose was for revealing that the Sith existed. But, this heretic of the Sith, the one he sensed proudly flaring his aura in the galaxy already had done that.

Still, Count Dooku was unresponsive to his master and his subtle manipulations, apart from resigning from the Jedi High Council after they kicked Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas off. This meant that for now, Maul's purpose would be to hound the Jedi and kill them until he was killed. He was meant to be a Sith warrior, not a true Sith apprentice. Though the Zabrack did not know that, and he was never to know.

He tugged on their Force bond, and Maul stepped into the range, his hologram now appearing, shadowing behind Sidious. The Zabrack is hooded, but his eyes are not hidden by his hood, revealing Sith yellows, and red tattoos on black. He crosses his arms, a long, silver hilt at his hip on his belt.

"This is my apprentice, Darth Maul." Sidious purrs dangerously. "He will find your lost ship."

Both Viceroy and first Lieutenant exchanged frightened looks. "Viceroy." Sidious calls darkly. "Ensure that the rest of the planet falls under your heel, and stamp out any rebellion. Use Naboo's own communication network to establish a trace link to find them. I will not tolerate any more failures." or else you will die was unsaid, but very much implied.

Nute Gunray gulped, his eyes widening with fear. The holograms of the Sith master and his apprentice cut, their frightening image fading away.

As soon as the connection was gone, Viceroy turned to Rune. "This is getting out of hand." Nute Gunray stuttered, frightened. He, like most Nemodians, craved power. But, they also feared death. "Now there are two of them."

"We should not have made this deal." Rune Haako replied, his body tensed, the Nemodian uneased.
