Beep! beep! beep! beep!
Marinette groaned and turned off her alarm. She rolled out of bed and checked the time.
She had 20 minutes if she wanted to make it to class before everyone else.
"Morning Marinette!"
"Morning Bug""Morning Tikki, Plagg" she yawned as she made her way to the bathroom.
Once she had showered and brushed her teeth she looked in her closet for what to wear.
You see, Marinette has grown over the past couple of years but things have not been going so well for her.
Reason: Lila Rossi
Life has been hell for her ever since she came back. All of her friends left her for that liar and she was left with no one. Just as Lila had promised two years ago.
They called her a bully because of all the untrue claims Lila made about her. And whenever she would call her out things would just get worse.
She tried to get help from Adrien, he knew Lila was a liar but he told her to take the high road and remain silent about it lest Lila would get akumatized.
Besides, it's not like she was hurting anyone.
She sighed as she looked in the mirror. She's matured physically but she couldn't fully see that.
Her body was different compared to before. Her curves had become more formed the way most girls would want to have naturally.
But after being called a fat pig so many times and other horrible things from the others, it made her want to cover up. So she would usually wear oversized jumpers or shirts.
Her hair had also grown longer down to her back. She actually preferred it this way and she'd grown out of the childish pigtails she used to wear all the time.
"Ready for another day of school?" Asked Tikki
"More like another day in hell. Lila really just wants to make my life miserable" she sighed. The two kwami's landed on her shoulder.
"Hey don't worry about them, Bug. If you want though I can-"
"No Plagg we can't hurt anyone"
"You don't even know what I was gonna say!" He defended.
Marinette just chuckled. "You say the same offer each time. No cataclysm on anyone. It's murder"
"Hmph"
"Ok, you two get in my bag. I need to leave now if I want to make it to class before everyone else"
~Time skip~
Marinette was sat in the back on her own ignoring whatever stories that Lila was telling the class.
Miss Bustier was late. Again.
Marinette was minding her own business, drawing in her book when a hand slammed down on her desk causing her to jump and nearly ruin her drawing.
She let out a harsh breath and looked up. "What do you want Alya?"
"Wanna tell us why you felt the need to pull Lila's hair this morning and call her a worthless bitch?" She yelled.
Marinette winced at the pitch of the reporter's tone.
"I-I never did any of that! I was here early"
"Ha! You, early? Since when?" Alya sneered
"Since 3 months ago but of course you're so infatuated with Lila you never noticed" she shot back.
Alya glared at the girl. "Watch it. You're on very thin ice at the moment. You're lucky that Lila is so forgiving or you would have been done for"
"And what's that meant to mean?" Marinette asked beginning to feel nervous at the mean grin that Alya gave her
"Keep messing with Lila and you'll find out exactly what we mean" and with that, she turned to go back to her seat where Lila was softly crying. Fake tears.
Marinette slumped in her chair and let out a sigh. No matter what she would never win. It first, even more, knowing that it's her ex-best friend giving her such threats. Even worse, Adrien just sat there and watched it all happen.
Finally Miss Bustier walked in. With another guy who looked...just like Adrien. But with blue-grey eyes. He also looked more mature. Way more mature.
"Good morning class settle down" she called. The class quietened down especially when they noticed the new guy.
"We have a new student with us today. Why don't you introduce yourself"
"My name is Felix Graham De Vanily. I am not here to make friends with any of you so do not even attempt to try" was all he said and he began to walk up the steps. To where Marinette was sat!
"Uh, excuse me, Felix we have a seating pl-" Felix cut the teacher off.
"I am perfectly fine with sitting in the only empty seat that is left"
"Oh Miss Bustier, he can sit next to me, I don't mind" Lila offered. She smiled at Felix. He already knew he had a bad feeling about the girl. She just gave off a bad vibe and the way she offered for him to sit next to her...ugh.
Alya looked but confused because she was the one sitting next to her. She certainly didn't want to sit next to the bully she used to see a friend.
"Lila that is a wonderful idea-" Felix cut her off again.
"No thank you. I would rather sit here" and with that, he walked up to the empty seat next to Marinette.
She quickly my ed over allowing him to sit next to her. Miss Bustier then began with the lesson
"Hi, I'm Marinette, I know what you said about the whole friend's thing but would you like me to give you notes. Miss Bustier hasn't been much of a, well...a teacher lately and I just do the work and study myself. I kinda prefer it. Much easier and more peaceful in my opinion" Marinette whispered
Felix eyed her for a moment making her feel a bit nervous. Was he judging her or something?
"Yes, that would be helpful" he replied.
"Great, I can show you at lunch if that's alright"
"Yes you may" he replied plainly. Marinette just smiled and nodded and looked back at the board.
Lunchtime
Marinette put her books away in her locker, closed it and jumped when she saw Felix standing on the other side.
"Oh! Felix. Your scared me"
"Apologies," he said. "I was meaning to ask, do you know of a decent place where one can get lunch?"
Marinette nodded. "Yeah, I do. My parents own a bakery and I go there to eat. I have been lately. Maybe you'd like to join me. And I can exchange notes with you too!" She suggested.
Felix rose a brow but he nodded in agreement anyway. "I suppose that would be best. I'm also hungry. Are we leaving now?"
"Yeah. I haven't got anything else to do here anyway"
"Well then, lead the way"
