The ride was long. Too long for Paul. All he could think about were the scars gliding down her arms. He wanted to question her for hours and hear every detail. Paul being in charge of the mafia made him even more protective of her. He groaned in frustration wanting to respect her personal space.

Paul pulled up to the long driveway and pulled the car into park. He thought he noticed a car following him, but shrugged it off. Probably Tommy causing trouble with Jonas again. He snickered at the childish boys. He knew Jonas was aching to have his twin back. Kinda like bringing home a new puppy in a weird way.

Paul shook Fiona's shoulder in an attempt to wake her up. Fiona didn't move or hear him. She was dead asleep. Paul laughed at the similarities between the twins. "Wake up, Fiona," Paul spoke. He tugged her earbud out of her ear. Fiona groaned as her blue eyes fluttered open.

"We're here, brat," Paul joked, calling her the pet name for her. Fiona groaned again and sat up. She's not the easiest person to talk to when she wakes up, which made Paul laugh.

Fiona rubbed her eyes trying to gain a sense of her surroundings. She glared at her father who wouldn't stop laughing. "Leave me alone, old brat!" She cried out. Paul chuckled louder, before noticing Sandy coming to the car.

Paul stepped outside of the car before Sandy could open his door. The old maid pouted. She sprinted to Fiona's door and opened it before Paul could. A game the two of them played. Fiona was wide-eyed as the door flung open.

"Excuse me startling you, Miss. Alexander," She laughed as Paul slow clapped in the back. Fiona chuckled and stepped outside the car.

"No worries, Ma'am," She said giving her a warm smile.

"That makes me feel old. Call me Sandy," She said. Fiona nodded, glancing at her surroundings.

A large mansion stood in front of her. She dropped her jaw in awe at the size. Her new house was the size of her old high school. Remington Dal High School. Still familiar but so far away from her. There was a bench outside the house along with a large tree. Fiona could picture herself reading there. Or just staring at the stars for hours. Fiona just turned around and was in awe. I'm going to get lost here! She thought to herself. Paul lightly chuckled at his daughter's awe.

Paul saw a blond head pop out of the main entrance and knew Jonas noticed he had arrived home. So had Fiona. Then he saw long black curly hair. Poppi. He shuffled over to the other side of his car and stood next to Fiona. He kept seeing in his mind the scars that covered her arms. He sighed and watched as Jonas and Poppi approach. Poppi was clinging onto Jonas, nervous but also comforting Jonas.

Fiona saw two more unfamiliar people approaching her. She felt her heart accelerate. Quicker and quicker; her breath was light but quick. No, this cannot be the start of a panic attack. Control yourself, Fiona! She mentally screamed at herself getting trapped in her thoughts until she saw the blond boy move his mouth. He was speaking.

"Hello, Dad. Welcome back, I guess?" Jonas said to Paul in a joking tone. The girl with black curly hair laughed and waved at Paul. They're going to speak to me next. Don't be a freak. Nod and smile, Fiona. She reminded herself.

"Wow, thanks for the warm welcoming asshole," Paul said to Jonas. "Fiona?" Paul asked Fiona. She raised her eyebrows and looked at him. She could feel six eyes stare at her. She hugged her sweater closer to her.

"This is Jonas. Who I spoke to you about in the car and this is Poppi his girlfriend and my partner's daughter." Paul said to her. Fiona smiled and waved. The two teens smiled back waiting for her to speak, but she never does.

"Sie spricht nicht viel, order?" ("She doesn't talk much, does she?") Jonas turned to Paul and said. Fiona chuckled at his lame attempt to have a secret conversation.

"Ich verstehe Deutsch, vielen Dank." ("I understand German, thank you very much.") Fiona snickered. Jonas, Paul, and Poppi looked at her wide-eyed. She never lets her bold side show. Way to go Fiona. You acted like a freak, again! Suddenly laughter filled the air.

"Ten years and you still haven't changed, wow," Jonas said through his laughter. Jonas stepped away from Poppi and wrapped his arms around Fiona. She immediately felt uncomfortable. Her eyes widened and she stood still. I don't know him! Get him off me, please! Her mind sang out. Paul noticed her discomfort and tapped Jonas on the shoulder signaling him to let go. Jonas released Fiona and smiled happily, despite Paul's interruption.

"Let's head inside," Paul said pressing his hand on Fiona's shoulder. He smiled at her hoping to reassure her nerves. Fiona pressed her lips into a smile hoping to reassure him.

Paul leaded Fiona into a large open space. There was a huge white chandelier and dark maple wood trim. Pictures were spread across the walls. The walls were a beige color with the picture frames being black. Her eyes lingered over a picture of young her and her mother. Fiona looked to be about five in the picture. Her hair was in two pigtails with purple ribbons. Mary was holding her on her shoulders as she smeared purple paint on her face. Fiona smiled, wondering when this happened. She didn't remember and it pained her.

Fiona swallowed back her tears. She didn't understand why the tears wanted to fall, but somehow they did. Her emotions overwhelmed her and she tried to contain them. Just focus on the tour and ignore everything else. Fiona felt her phone vibrate in her pocket. She quickly looked at the contact name. Jayden.

What do you think you're doing?!

Fiona's body shivered with fear. He's here for her. The escape is over.
