Lin Ye did not know why things ended up like this.

Logically speaking, even if Ptilopsis was doing this on purpose just to annoy him, or simply wanted to save money, the three rooms booked were absolutely enough for them to share with.

After all, five people, three rooms fit for two, even an elementary school student could do the math for that.

Lin Ye didn't expect that he would be in this situation.

Skadi placed both of their things near the door. She then went to her bed and sat on it. She did some stretches to let herself relax.

She then realized that Lin Ye was just staring at her, "What's wrong with you?"

"What's wrong with me?" Lin Ye didn't know how to deal with all of this. Just now, Skadi's inexplicable words made everyone's eyes look at him weirdly.

Skadi, however, felt that she did not do anything wrong.

With how late it was, Lin Ye did not bother to try and find another solution. Luckily, everyone else agreed with this new arrangement.

He and Skadi would share a room. Liz and Ifrit would also share one. Leaving the cause of all this, Lappland, to have a room all for herself.

He did have some concern but with how Skadi was dead set on sharing a room with him, he ad no choice but to go with the flow.

"Anyway, we still have things to do tonight," Skadi looked around the room on her bed, "With us sharing now, we should be fine doing it."

Lin Ye knew that Skadi was just referencing his training that he would do with her. She was trying to say that it would be a bother to do it if they stayed in separate rooms. That was reasonable.

But, why did you say it like that?

Lin Ye pinched the middle of his brow to lessen his aching head. This did not go unnoticed by Skadi.

Facing Skadi's puzzled eyes, Lin Ye tried to explain, "Skadi... Err... When you speak... pay more attention to your words."

"Pay more attention?" Skadi frowned, "What do you mean by that?"

"That..." Lin Ye ran his hand through his hair, "Try to prevent misunderstandings from happening."

"Misunderstanding?" Skadi was still puzzled, "What misunderstanding?"

Lin Ye really didn't know what to say to her.

I need to understand. She's still isn't used to people yet.

It would be nice if she understood, but she did not.

Lin Ye felt that if he tried to explain to her more, it would only add on to her confusion. So for now, he just swiped what had happened under the rug.

"... Forget it," Lin Ye sighed, "It's nothing."

"I do not understand," Skadi shook her head and said softly, "Why can't you make things clear? And why do I feel that you are a little nervous? What are you afraid of?

Nervous? Afraid? Who? Me?

Lin Ye looked around the room to get away from her gaze.

I am a man! Living in a room with a woman! Of course, I would be nervous! I never really interacted with people before because of how ill I was back in my last life. So, sorry if I am nervous around a woman that is beautiful! And that said woman can cut any monster in half without any trouble too!

Lin Ye roared in his heart.

Godammit, I sound pathetic. But it's true!

Lin Ye really needed to fix this about himself. However, he did not have time to think about that. He hardened himself up and let his gaze fall to Skadi.
