Jacob

"You okay bro?" Miguel asks as we stare at ourselves in the mirror.

The past days were full of preparations for the wedding. It is to take place at a church the Darks attended.

There will be a lot of paparazzi's and guests of high class from all around the world.

"Yeah I'm good"

I adjust the tie on the charcoal grey James Bond Shawl tuxedo that I'm wearing.

"Just remember it's all for show. None of it is real" Miguel reminds and a answer with a nod.

I'm glad he's here as my best man.

Someone enters the dressing room and I see it's dad from the reflection of the mirror.

"How's everything going in here?"

"Fine" Miguel and I both say at the same time.

I'm still crazy pissed at my dad for dragging me into this but what's done is done and there's nothing I can change about it.

He looks me straight in the eye and smiles. I try to return the smile but can't.

"Thank you son" his voice thick with emotion. He gives me a pat on the shoulder and then he leaves.

It's going to be a long and stressful day.

Miguel gives me a reassuring tap on the back.

"It's going to be alright Jac"

I just hope so.

Leigh-Ann

"Oh my god Leigh you look divine!" mom says coming to stand in front of me.

She has tears in her eyes and I slightly glare at her.

Why's she crying? This isn't a real marriage.

Tania notices the tension in the room and plasters on a big smile.

"I know right. This dress really brings out your curves girl."

Mom's smile drops a bit but the tears in her eyes still remain but this time for a totally different reason.

She blinks rapidly so the tears don't mess up her make up.

"The ceremony will commence in ten minutes"

She gives Tania a grateful smile then leaves.

"Girl calm down. She's your mother remember?"

Tania is right. I shouldn't be behaving this way.

"You are right" I sigh staring back at my reflection in the mirror.

One step, smile. Another step, keep smiling.

There are so many people here.

I keep walking down the aisle as the instrumentalists play 'Here Comes The Bride'.

My dress is stunning and incredibly comfortable. It's a Trumpet wedding gown silhouette with a flared skirt area and some complicated straps at the back.

I'm matching it up with strappy white heels.

Jacob is at the end of the aisle waiting for me with a bright smile on his face.
