Jacob
"Bro what the hell. That's the third fucking time!" Miguel exclaims holding his hands out.
"Haha!" I laugh loudly hitting my last ball in the hole.
I know what you thinking but nah.
Miguel and I just finished our third game of pool with me winning...again.
We drop our sticks and walk to the kitchen.
I'm at Miguel's house since he took a day off today which is rare and considerate because he did it for me.
After Leigh-Ann had left, I went insane. She didn't tell me when she was coming back and the only thing that was holding me together was her promise to come back.
When has a woman ever made me feel like this?
Never!
Not even my toxic relationship with Moira could compare to the way I feel about Leigh-Ann.
She's like a breath of fresh air when she isn't cussing me out or glaring knives at me.
"What?" I ask Miguel while drinking the bottled water I just got from the fridge.
"You're smiling" he wiggles his brows.
The first week Leigh left, I'd been at Miguel's bar everyday. He'd kept me sane with his frequent talks and incredible drinks.
But he never got me drunk because he's programmed it in his mind that Leigh-Ann's leaving was his fault.
I tried to reassure him but he wouldn't let up.
This is the second week since Leigh-Ann left but I've managed not to lose my mind thanks to Miguel.
I roll my eyes at his comment and turn to rummage through his fridge.
"Does that mean you miss her?"
"Yes"
He looks me dead in the eye when I turn around after I've found what I was looking for.
"You have to make things right Jac. Once she comes back, tell her how you feel and see if she feels the same"
I nod at his words. I still don't know when Leigh-Ann will be back but I'll wait for her and once she's back, I'm not letting her go again. Ever.
Miguel makes us lunch and together we sit on the kitchen stools eating.
"You know" he chews on his food.
"Tania told me she's doing well"
I raise my brows at that.
"You are serious about this girl aren't ya Mig?"
"Yeah. Bro I can't begin to explain how she makes me feel. She's vibrant, lovely and doesn't take shit from anyone" he stares off and I can't help but smile at the look on his face.
He looks content.
"Alright bro. I've got to get home. I'm feeling a bit tired. I'll call you tomorrow" I tell Miguel, getting off the stool.
The automatic gates at his house open as I drive out.
♡··♡··♡
I get to the gates of my house and park near a familiar car.
She's here!
I sprint out of the car quickly.
On getting inside I hear laughter from the kitchen and head there.
