DOUBLE SHOT ESPRESSO
Hera's POV
"O M G!" I exclaimed when I saw Saab and Coach Eddieboy talking face to face inside the indoor pool. I stopped dead on my tracks when I saw them. They looked so immersed in their conversation.
All I can hear are murmurs and hums. They are quite far back so I couldn't clearly hear what they were talking about. The sound of their voices are bouncing off as gibberish echoes.
I brewed my usual double shot espresso at home. I love coffee. The smell of freshly brewed coffee beans and the rich bitter sweet taste of it makes me happy. I cannot imagine a world without coffee. And couldn't function without it. Coffee gives me happy hormones.
I received a text from Saab saying that she will be at the school's indoor pool. It was already after school hours and Saab usually swims at the indoor pool. She loves it here. She's always here when something is bothering her. She swims to clear her mind.
She once said that water has its magical healing properties. As ludicrous as it sounds, I believe her. I'm not a fan of water. Especially the smell of chlorine. And yes I don't know how to even keep myself afloat. Basically, I don't know how to swim. But nobody knows that.
"Yeah. Coach Eddieboy finally found her. Looking for her everywhere." He really looked desperate. Like desperate for help."
He is a true mentor.
To be shared by someone's life experience is an amazing feat to hear. Ma-amaze ka na lang talaga. And yes, not all are happy, a few are sad but that's life. Slices of life. Parang kape. Bitter and sweet. Minsan bitter. Minsan sweet. Kadalasan pareho.
He is like a father to us. A mentor. A friend. She loves helping people.
I fear that she might give in. That she cannot say no. Malamang kaya niya tinaguan si coach.
