Sapphire's P.O.V

This week has been horrible. Ever since Aiden saw the bruise i freaked out. He had been knocking on my door but i refused to face him. I was scared. So i have been avoiding him. And its really hard considering we live in the same house. I have spent my days with Becca and Matt. Matt was a great guy and I liked him a lot, it's just that not as more than friends. Aiden has been acting strange too. He barely hangs out with Matt anymore which I'm glad for that way I won't have to face him. The beatings still continue, but dad has found out to hurt me in place my clothes cover. Basically my whole stomach area. There's purple all over but it doesn't hurt. Aiden also started bringing girls to the house which stops dad from hitting me that much. I hate most of the girls that he brings, there all the same and they're barely dressed. Dad doesn't seem to mind them hanging out. But I'm sure if it were me, I'd be dead by now. Just even by suggesting such a thing.

Tonight Aiden was going on a date, which meant I would stay alone with dad. I was currently in my room doing my homework when dad barged in. "you lazy ass! Get your ass down here! I'm starving!" I got up quickly and started to put my books away when dad laughed cruelly, and said "oh your wasting your damn time on that!?" he grabbed my homework and ripped it in half. He then yelled "why even waste time when you can barely write your own name!" he then ripped out pages out of my textbook. I gasped and said "stop! I'll have to pay!" he laughed and said "then you better find a job cause I'm not paying shit! Now get down stairs!" he pulled me by the hair an dragged me out of my room. "move!" I fell and he took that as an advantage to kick me. He kicked me repeatedly until it pained to cry. He grabbed my arm and slapped me "get up and stop being lazy you fat bitch!" I was about to wipe away tears when he gave me a disgusted look and said "move out of my way!" I was about to step aside when he roughly shoved me and I lost my balance and tripped. Next thing I know I'm falling down the stairs desperately trying to reach the rail and failing. I screamed and the last thing I remember is mom yelling "Sapphire!!" and then blackness took over.

Aiden's P.O.V.

"baby, why don't we go somewhere more private?" I looked at the girl by my side and shrugged. We were in the theater watching some movie, I was barely paying attention. S had been on my mind ever since I asked about her bruise. She totally freaked out and avoided me. So I started messing around. "baby? " "hmmm?" she then climbed on my lap and started kissing my neck. I groaned in annoyance but she took it the wrong way and started grinding on me. I didn't want this it felt wrong but my body was satin otherwise. "h-hey babe, let's stop there's people here" she pouted and said "your no fun." I grumbled and said come on I'm taking you home." she sighed and followed me out. After dropping her of I made it perfectly clear we were OVER. I went back home and parked Jane's car and went inside to find her sitting on the floor head on her hands shaking violently. "Jane! Hey what's wrong!?" she saw me and whispered "h-h-hospital" then she started crying even more. I ran upstairs and gave out a frustrated sigh when I realized that neither S or dad were home. I ran out the door and drove straight to the towns hospital. I passed the roads and thanked God that no cars were around. When I got there I told the lady "Sapphire Banda please" she smiled and said "room 32, down that hall and to the right, second door on the left" i thanked her and headed that way only to bump into dad. "dad what happened?" he looked at me and avoided my eyes and said "she fell down the stairs" "but how? Is she ok?" he nodded and said "yeah hey son I got to go Jane was hysterical you should go too" I shook my head and said "no ima stay until she wakes up" "son I don't think that's a good idea" "don't worry dad" "Aiden I'm serious it's not a g-" "dad I'll STAY" he looked unsure but nodded an left. Something wasn't right. I knew it. I went up to a doctor and said "excuse me, could you tell me how Sapphire is doing?" he looked at me and said "sure son, let's see... Ah Banda. Well Sapphire received a few bruises, mostly on her abdomen and lower back, she has a busted lip, no broken bones and an internal bleeding on her left side which is why she's in surgery. Shell be fine. Although its quite strange that she got all those bruises by just falling down the stairs. Anyways it will take a while so just take a seat and I'll let you know" I nodded and thanked him. Then I sat on one of the arm chairs and waited.

I woke up by someone tapping my shoulder. "son wake up" I looked up and saw the doctor. "oh hey man sorry I fell asleep" he smiled and said "yes I didn't introduce myself. I'm Dr. Wallace." "I'm Aiden" "all right so everything went fine, and Sapphire is in a room now. She's stable a little groggy from the medication but you can go see her." I quickly got up and said "thanks Doc." he nodded an said "oh and don't get her excited" then he winked and I shook my head smiling. I knocked on her door an entered. It sort of pained me seeing her like that. She had a busted lip an tubes were coming out of her hands. And nose. She saw me and gave me a small smile. I smiled back and sat at one of the chairs, "hey S" "Aiden?" "yeah?" "what happened?" "umm well you fell down the stairs." she nodded and winced. "how do you feel?" she rolled her eyes and said "I just fell down the stairs Aiden. I'm in pain" I smiled and said "don't worry I'm here" she nodded an her eyes started closing then she whispered "please... D-don't leave" "I wont" and she fell asleep. I rested my head against the chair and watch her sleep. I kept wondering what really happened cause surely she didn't fell down the stairs. But I knew she wouldn't tell me the truth. So I just waited there holding her hand and at some point she smiled and whispered "Aiden" and I couldn't help but smile thinking that I was on her mind at that moment.

So sorry for the wait. Next chapter will be much more interesting.
