A/N
Hello people! thanks for following and commenting! love yall!
But before you start reading further I should explain a few things. First I believe one of my chapters wasn’t updated properly. And got skipped…
I have gone back but it won’t let me update it L It should have been right after the chapter ‘dad’s don’t do this to their daughters’ I apologize for that.
So just to clear some things. Sapphire found out that Becca her friend was in an accident with her mom while returning from their trip. It was a pretty bad situation where an eighteen wheeler crushed a few cars but theirs just happened to be in front.
Becca went into a coma. As for her mom, well she had a trauma and has psychiatrists trying to help her. That just added pressure to Sapphire’s life. And made Sapphire feel even worse than she already did.
So that was basically all that happened in that un posted chapter. Sorry.

-Sapphire’s P.O.V.
It’s been two days. Two days since Keith got shot. Two days since my dad went missing. Two days since the police got involved. Two days since my mom locked herself in her room. Two days since I confessed to Aiden. And two days since I got a call from Becca’s mom.
My whole world officially came down. I’ve spent those two days in the hospital. Waiting for Keith to wake up. The doctor said he got lucky. That the bullet was 5 centimeters away from his heart. He still is in intensive care and they won’t let me see him. But he went through a long surgery. And he might need to make some changes in his life.
I haven’t stopped hating myself. I should have never let Keith take me home. I knew better. But I just wanted things to change.
Aiden sits by me most of the time. Never says a word. I know he’s mad at me. Because he went to the police and told them what my dad did to me. But now the police wants my statement. And after what happened to Keith, I just can’t bring myself to do it.
I’m still scared. Especially with my dad missing. No one knows where he is. He just left right after the gun went off. Ran into his car and drove off. Mom is no help. The police has tried to talk to her. Knocked the door to her room down. But she only locked herself in the bathroom. And the police think she might be crazy.
So they don’t want to scare her and push her into hurting herself. But I know my mom. She just doesn’t want to answer questions or have her reputation ruined. Because she’s hiding stuff. Secrets. And I know she doesn’t want anyone to find out.
“Sapphire…” I looked up from my hands and turned to my right where Aiden was standing with two cups. “I thought you might want some coffee. It’s not that good…. But here” He handed me a cup and I gave him a small smile and thanked him.
He nodded and sat down next to me. “I’m sorry S. I was forcing you into telling all those strangers stuff that took you a while to tell me.” He turned towards me with a pleading look and whispered “I really am sorry”
“It’s okay Aiden. I will tell them. Soon. I just… want to speak with Keith first. Make sure he’s okay” I whispered.
He nodded and hesitantly took my hand and intertwined our fingers together. And we went back to sitting in silence. But a good silence. With the air cleared off.
