~Sapphire’s P.O.V.

After that little scene in the parking lot Mr. Carlton went back inside with his bodyguards behind. Aiden then went to his mom who was still a little angry and kept giving me weird looks. As for my mom. Well she didn’t come back.

So now I was back in the lobby, alone.

I was about to go get some water when the doctor came towards me. “Ms. Banda, there has been a few incidents with Keith Montgomery.”

“excuse me…?” I thought he was better? He needs to be better!

“don’t worry, its nothing serious. But he is starting to wake up. The pain is strong and we need to apply a stronger medication. But since he is still a minor we need his parents’ consent. Do you know where I might find them?”

He looked at me through his glasses and back at his notepad.

“Keith’s parents are away on vacation. The police has not been able to contact them so far.” I looked down at my hands suddenly feeling bad for Keith’s situation.

The doctor sighed and said “all right here’s what ill do. Ill apply the necessary treatments. But when his parents appear you will have to give a statement that I came and consulted the information to you ok? I will inform the detective on his case too as well okay?” he raised an eyebrow and I simply nodded.

He nodded and went back to where he came from. Then Aiden came with his mom right behind him. He looked happy with her presence.

“S, I want you to meet my mom Lora. Mom this is Sapphire”  he sounded really excited but his mom still looked at me with… confusion.

“It’s nice to meet you ma’am” I said politely.

She smiled and replied “likewise, dear” she was a very tall woman. And she looked really young too. And I couldn’t help but continue to think that she looked really familiar.

Aiden sat down next to me while his mom took a call.

“She came because she said she missed me. But I know she’s lying” I looked at Aiden and saw him frowning in his mom’s direction.

“Why would you say that?”  I questioned.

 He looked at me with his dark green eyes and his features softened. Then he actually smiled and whispered “Because once she sent me off to summer camp and never visited me. She gives me my space. And even if she missed me she would just buy ice cream and eat it while watching titanic.”

Then he leaned in towards me making my breath get caught up in my throat. His eyes traveled down to my lips making me gulp. And I don’t even know why I was feeling like that. It was just Aiden! And my….brother?

Aiden looked at me and put a strand of my blond hair behind my ear. And I noticed that his short hair was getting longer. And it looked soft, making me wonder how it might feel. He then leaned in close so our noses were touching making me freeze in place. He looked at me with a serious expression and whispered huskily “that’s, why I know she’s lying”.

And he pulled away right afterwards giving me one of his charming smiles. I just sat there still frozen while I spotted his mom giving us a curious expression with her eyebrows raised. Which made me blush and Aiden chuckle.

I frowned and then Mr. Carlton walked by glaring in Lora’s direction while looking at me with that same pained expression. I soon felt like I should go to him or something. But I didn’t know why.
