Just another day...

****Sapphires P.O.V.



Aiden just stared at me, pale and I was afraid he wouldn't say anything. He just sat there and kept looking at me. Finally his expressions grew hard

"he did WHAT?!"

"That sick bastard!! Why didn't you tell me! That fucking asshole is going to pay! I'm going to make him pay for everything that he's done to you!! I'm gonna-"

"Aiden! Stop!"

He looked shocked at my reaction and I said "please keep your voice down!"

"for what?! So he won't hear you? Trust me if he ever lays a hand on you again I'll-"

I gave him a pleading look and said "please Aiden dont make this worse" He wasnt even paying attention to me anymore. He was pacing back and forth my room. I was really worried now. He just kept mumbling. 

"Aiden... You cant confront him on your own, he'll hurt you." i whispered. Aiden stopped pacing and turned to look at me. "All right S, I wont but I will bring the police with me. My dad or not hes going to jail" He looked at me with hurt in his eyes but then his expression grew hard and he said "What he did was fucked up. Ill press charges against him. but i need you to be able to do it as well"

I widened my eyes at his suggestion and shook my head "no, no, no, no he will kill me!" Aiden shook his head and walked closer to me "Listen I wont let him hurt you again ok, now im going to the sheriffs office, ill be back soon" He looked at me pleadingly and i numbly nodded.

"good" he whispered. then he kissed my forehead and walked out the room closing the door behind him. I went to the bathroom and changed into clothes that would be appropriate to go outside. Which I settled for a blue blouse with a white cardigan, black skinny jeans and brown leather boots. i then put my blond hair in a bun and went outside. 

I decided to go to the park, where I knew dad wouldnt dare look for me. I wasnt even sure if my mom even noticed I left the house. I found an empty bench and sat down. It was a cloudy day. Making it a bit chilly. The birds couldnt even be heard. So I watched as the few kids there drove their moms crazy, wanting them to get on the slides. I took out my pone and looked up Becca's name. Ive wanted to call her and prove that she was still ok. but I knew that it wasnt true.

I kept on starring at her name in my contacts deciding on what to do.. Imean surely her mom would answer. Or not. I wanted to go see her but how? I was still debating when i heard someone yell "Sapphire?!" I turned and saw Keith coming my way with a big smile on his face. It was so like him. I couldnt help but smile when he sat down next to me. I put away my phone and shyly said "hi Keith"

He chuckled and said "hey girl!, its been a while you know. I mean you almost never talk and then you go missing for a few days." He shook his head still smiling. i shrugged and answered "well im here now, so whats up?"

He smiled and said "well, little lady... If you must know I am dating this girl" I raised an eyebrow and asked "really? I thought you didnt date" He chuckled and patted my head "of course i dont I was just joking, Im still sleeping around, but I finally got my Ferrari!" he said excitedly.

I laughed "thats great! Im so happy for you!" I exclaimed. "you know maybe one of these days I could give you a ride to school" he suggested. "Keith, I live like ten minutes away from school" i reminded him.

He laughed and said "ok true But we could still go on double dates, me and a girl, you and matt?"

I scrunched my eyebrows and told him "Umm me and Matt weren't really together" He looked confused and sighed "well in that case forget about him and well just go to the beach with some other people" 

I looked at him and smiled. I would really like that. to get away from everything. To forget what I went trough for at least a little while. "yeah i would like that" Keith gave me one of his charming smiles and yelled "awesome! oh and we can even invite that guy Aiden? he seems to like you" 

I smiled slightly. No Aiden wouldnt like me. At  least not anymore now that he knows what my dad did. "I dont think so but sure you can invite him" i said. "great! now all I have to do is get everything ready. I mean we have what two weeks off from school? damn I need to start." He kept on rambling about the plans he was going to make. who he was going to invite. He was really excited about all of this.

I was just happy to have someone to talk to. When i looked at my watch I noticed it was getting late. "Keith I need to go" He looked up and nodded "sure, hey why dont I give you a ride?" he asked.

i nodded and smiled at him gratefully. He laughed and yelled "great! now lets get you home"

We got into his car and I couldnt help but notice how clean it was. He was really taking care of it. When i gave him directions to my house, we got there in no time. He even opened my door making me laugh. We went into my house together. Since he wanted to talk to Aiden. But as soon as we went inside I really regretted everything.

Dad was in front of the stairs holding a rifle. He had on a murderous look on his face. When he saw Me go in with Keith he instantly grew furious.

"you little bitch! you go out this late just to bring home a guy! you fucking slut!" he yelled

Keith instantly tensed by my side and grabbed hold of my hand. "Sir I was just giving her a ride home-" he started but dad interrupted by saying "shut the hell up! dont you think I know her?!" He then started to walk towards us and immediately Keith put me behind him. Dad didnt like that at all. he snatched me away roughly by the arm making me gasp in pain.

Keith made a move to get me back but dad pointed at him with the rifle. "dad! please dont!" Dad looked at me and glared. "dont you dare talk! and you boy, i suggest you leave!" he basically growled. I gave Keith a pleading look but Keith shook hi head and answered "no, im not leaving Sapphire here, when you have that damn gun ready to shoot someone"

Dad laughed humorously "Do you think I wont shoot you boy! leave NOW!" Keith took a step forward and tried negotiating "look man put the gun down and ill leave" Dad only laughed some more and squeezed my arm tighter. I winced at the pain and Keith pushed him aside and pulled me towards him. Dad fell to the ground and I saw mom in the hallway watching everything.

"run Sapphire!" Keith yelled at me and when i got out the door Keith followed. But when I was about to get in his car i heard it. A gun went off. I slowly turned around not wanting to see what had happened. Afraid of the worst. 

And i broke into tears immediately. It was awful. How could he do it?  there he was laying face down with a pool of blood surrounding him. While mom just watched and left to her room in tears. I finally snapped out of it and ran towards him screaming his name...

"KEITH?!"
