Today, Vaani's father had gone to the city for some personal work and had decided to meet Shashi Master upon his request.

They met in a restaurant and discussed the proposal thoroughly as Shashi Master was trying to convince everyone. He wanted to do it for a good cause.

Although Mantesh, wanted to marry off his daughter into a rich family, he couldn't afford what they had demanded.

"I can only give 250 grams of gold, but then in that case I can't afford the marriage. I am already in the middle of building my house, along with that, taking the responsibility of marriage is impossible at the same time." He informed Shahi Master of his situation.

The girl's side wasn't as desperate as compared to the boy's side though so, Mantesh was not ready to bend and beg them to tie this relationship nor was the boy's father. The boy was not getting any younger, yet they had too much attitude for their own good then why not they show some of their own.

Shashi Master agreed and left to talk to Vikrant's dad Rangayya, who was the only one left, to be convinced about the marriage now. Vikrant's elder brother wasn't involved much in family affairs, so his opinions didn't matter much in this situation and also because it was the groom's decision.

There was a whole family history of these people that everyone knew. Especially because Virant's grandfather was a very famous good-natured man and had a good name because of his kindness. He was married to two women and had an affair with another. Back in those days, multiple marriages were common among wealthy people, especially when your first wife couldn't give you any male heir.

Rangayya had taken over all the property rights after his father's death not giving a penny to any of his sisters, not even his own blood sisters. Rangayya had a brother though but due to money matters, they didn't see eye to eye. They were only two males in the family amongst 12 children.

There are always problems when too much greed and money are involved.

"If he can't take care of the marriage of his own daughter, why should I do it?" Rangayya announced in his arrogance. Shashi Master shook his head hearing this stupidity.

"Not everyone can afford this much Rangayya and also it is a good proposal" Shashi Master tried convincing him.

"Dady, I will arrange the whole marriage, you don't have to do anything," Vikrant made a commitment knowing the reason behind his father's hesitation.

"I am already old, I don't have that much energy to run around for your marriage arrangements," Rangayya explained to his son.

Shashi master along with Vikrant and his mom with a series of arguments finally persuaded Rangayya's decision on the marriage.

Vikrant had announced that he would take the whole responsibility of the marriage. He was fixated on getting married to this girl particularly. No one knew for what reason he was running behind that girl, but seeing his situation, everyone wanted him to marry off soon.

Mantesh received a call from Shashi Master who was calling him over to the boy's house to have one final talk to fix the marriage. Vaani's dad arrived and the wedding was fixed at 250 Grams of gold and engagement on the girl's side and Marriage at the boy's side.

The whole business deal was done, with eating sweet at the last.

Coming home Mantesh had bought 6 boxes of sweets along with him to distribute among his brothers and sisters in the village to celebrate the news of his daughter's marriage. He was very happy that her daughter is going to be married off in a rich family.

Vaani's favorite and close cousins Yash and Meghna were on call with her at that time and were more than excited for her, discussing all the things they were going to do and wear. Meghna especially was closer to her, with only 9 months of difference between them, they were practically attached to the hips when together.
