Today was Vaani's birthday, and also a weekend. Her friends had asked her yesterday night itself whether she was in her city house so that they could celebrate her birthday.

The birthday celebration trend was started by her friends in college on her birthday and it had been a long time since they celebrated again. It was also a perfect reason for everyone to gather. Vaani was not one of those hyped-up people who were happy about their birthdays, on the other hand, she always felt low on her birthday, as she had gotten one year older, one year closer to old age.

She had gotten ready first thing in the morning, wearing new clothes to go to a temple, but first, she had to drop her sister. On the way back she was going to visit the temple, where Vikrant was also going to be present.

"I have performed too many pooja's and done many fastings and God has finally blessed me with you," He commented, flattering her. He was sitting next to her in the temple.

She had preferred to sit inside for some time as it always provide a sense of calmness there. The positivity spread through her body.

"Hey, I like your bike," she complimented him when they exited the temple doors after an hour. It was the first tie she saw his bike.

He had arrived on his bike this time, surprising Vaani. She preferred bikes more than anything else, and he had arrived in a black Suzuki Gixxer.

"Yeah, and I know why," he smirked as if he knew some kind of secret.

"What..."  Vaani asked confused.

"I know your friend Syed has the same bike, but mine is an older version," He informed her as if he revealed some kind of mystery.

"Oh!, wow..." she whispered to herself quietly, not believing what she just heard. It was true that Syed had the same bike but of a different model, but she had never mentioned that to him.

"how do you know that?" she asked loudly, wanting to know his source of knowledge.

"Facebook," he said, looking himself in his bike mirror, messing up his grey hair.

"I saw his comments on your pictures," he continued but Vaani's mind was blown. Was this guy trying to stalk her? she thought grimacing.

Not wanting to dwell on the matter, she just chose to ignore the topic completely. He was the one who did not like talking about her best friend but instead was looking up about him.

"Let's go, I am getting late," she murmured standing next to her vehicle.

"Wait, wait let's take a selfie, my friends are scolding me that we didn't take photos" He rushed out, taking his phone out of his pocket.

"umm, I am don't feel comfortable doing all such things in a temple. Plus I don't like taking photos" Vaani declined, trying to be as polite as possible but the guy was not ready to take no as an answer.

"Just one, please. Come on," he said putting one hand on her shoulder and grabbing on to her, making her squirm uncomfortably.

He was going too fast for her liking and she had started to get scared, her heart beating at a faster rate. She scattered away from him due to extreme discomfort.

He started at the photo on his phone and scolded her for not standing correctly.

"Not even one picture is good enough. My face in the photos is never good," He complained in his gruff voice.

" I told you I don't like these things and I don't like to be forced," She said agitatedly.

"Ok, sorry," he said shrugging his shoulders and continuing. "I have bought you a phone for your birthday,"
