The initial awkwardness, after the fight had taken some time to get over. He was still not ready to accept that Vaani's best friend could want anything innocent. He did not trust Syed's intention or him but he did not want to say anything to her yet, which would create another misunderstanding.
The news of the second phase of the corona was spreading, and everyone in the family was hoping to finish the marriage ordeal without any obstructions. Vikrant was busy with his friend Dinesh, looking after the arrangements, but when he would have the time he would be busy texting Vaani.
Vaani's work started from morning 8 to evening 5 but she would roam in the house in between, watch a movie or two while working, without even making a mistake in her work. She was a good employee and in the past 8 months that she had been working, she didn't even make a single mistake and she was proud of it, as she did not like fingers being pointed at her.
In between her work, she would text Vikrant whenever he was not busy. They had started to talk about their future now, about kids and all.
"I will send my daughters to private girls school only" Vaani had texted him one day.
"and I will not. Don't I know how girls from all-girls college are..." He texted back immediately teasing her. Vaani had shown him her true colors as an all-girls college student.
Parents usually think that their daughters would be safe in that type of environment or some would just send their daughters because of the absence of boys or just to preserve their daughter's innocence. But what do they know that girls are especially spoiled in such environments. Because they have so much freedom there, they don't hesitate to talk to their friends about anything and everything.
When you are not surrounded by boys, girls tend to get more free and vocal, discovering things they would have not talked about openly in the presence of the other gender.
Vaani was very reluctant to join an all-girls college at first when all her life, she had studied in a CO-ED but then her complaining was gone to deaf ears and she had agreed to go. It was because her father did not trust her she thought. He was very old-fashioned and did not want his daughter to stray from her path and bring a bad name to him. But when she joined, she discovered the most peaceful 3 years of her life.
All the girls were friendly, they used to have fun in class, they talked about a variety of topics, not limited to sex and porn. There were discussions about it sometimes. And to think that girls wouldn't know stuff in these times was just absurd.
"boys also talk, what's wrong if girls talk about it for awareness?" She texted waiting for his response, her eyebrows raised.
"hmm, there is nothing wrong, you can teach me something instead" He texted taking her by surprise.
"what can I teach you, you are older than me, you should know more" Vaani replied.
"I don't know much, just some things from my best friend Nitin"
"so he has a girlfriend?" Vaani asked curiously.
"No, let's just say he has some experience,
so he tells me stuff." Vikrant texted
"What kind of stuff" Vaani continued
"hmm, that we can know how the girl is, with her expressions, whether if she is experienced or not and all that." he texted
Vaani was starting to doubt this friend of his. He did not seem to have the correct knowledge of things or making stuff up and had even led his friend to believe in his beliefs as well. Wanting to know more she texted him back.
