“SHUT UP.” Her voice echoed through the office. The voices were back again.
He remembered the beginning, when the voices never existed. She was sitting in a void with a stranger, soon to become his closest friend, without even realizing it. Time, the only other one who knew the voices were there.
There was a time it was quiet, millions of years where the voices never rang, only Time and Space. They worked in harmony, Space creating solar systems, stars, and universes, Time creating the atmospheres, terrains, and even had some other gods in the making. One day they started playing around, and a universe was blown up. That’s when things went wrong. Random things started to happen, strangers were dropped onto a planet that Space had called Lave. A planet with several realms on it, his pride and joy. Soon, to counteract the imbalances, Time and Space created Time’s planned gods. Sun, Moon, Life, and Mortem. It was terrifying at first, but at least they had one another. That was lost when the voices started to persist. They spoke coldly about one to the other. Space was convinced Time wanted him dead. Time was convinced Space was a monster, that she only wanted to destroy what they worked on.
Yet now, after years of work, they were finally back to at least friends, Space considering Time as his only real friend, and they were going to lose it all.
Years of keeping them at bay, years of fighting and hiding, now they had finally broken through his barrier. She had tried for years to keep them out of his head to little avail, her office being the only sure haven. Now it was his time to suffer. They had broken through the sound barrier around the office. To remind her what he had done, all the horrid things she had done under their command. Things he often regrets, creating the shadow realm, the abuse she put other gods and universes through. Their word kept him alive, now she refused to listen, the first time he wouldn’t obey. Time, her closest friend, his only ally against the voices, she drew the line for Time. He would never do something so cruel. Now, it was time to pay for his actions.
Space prepared everything for her death. His office would be protected from the reset, her work against the voices would be passed to the one he chose.
“You won't win. You may control us now, but I will find a way to stop you monster!”
Anyone would think her insane if they knew where he was. No response echoes aloud. Merely laughter. The cruel, bitter, soulless laugh of it. She knew it well, he heard it when Reaper was locked away, when Ocean was killed, and now she hears it before the destruction of his universe…
That’s what hurt the most, everything she had worked so hard to create, his family, her friends, his home, all to be destroyed forever. In her final moments, he was to be tortured then her world would die forever. Him with it.
