(Here Flame is 20 and has gone through several cooking classes, the song is Dear Calypso by CG5, check them out!)
Third POV
Midnight, many sleep peacefully through this hour, but one lad was kept awake. He was too tired to sleep and too restless to know why. A voice had been calling to him relentlessly through his dreams and calling him in the day. His adoptive father blamed it on the movies, his boyfriend tried to calm him, and yet Flame felt it was something else.
His life has always been full of missing pieces and the pieces presented never made sense.
Flame POV
I roll to my side carefully to find my boyfriend, Salem, sleeping peacefully. I softly mumble and thank you to him and I kiss his forehead. No matter the chaos, he's stuck with me through everything.
I hear the voices again and jolt up to grab my sword, but I'm fairly woozy. When I stand, the ground beneath me opens and I fall. I just barely grip the edge of the floor. "Salem! Stay on the bed!" I shout, he looks over the edge of the bed to offer me a hand up. I reach up for it, doing my best to keep a grip. He makes another attempt to grab me as I fall. The last thing I saw was his face, worried and scared.
Third POV
Flame hits the ground hard, pain surging throughout his body. The wind blows softly, gently rolling through the fields and leaves. The world lit brightly by the sun as birds sing and play. Footsteps and shouts can be heard echoing through the forest. A man with chocolate brown hair dodges gunfire, though he's had plenty of close calls.
Felix POV
I run as fast as I can, the royal guard after me once again. They aren't even from this kingdom. Why do they get to control this land? I look around and sigh. I've lost them for the moment, but I have to be certain before I head home. I get snapped from my thoughts when I fall to the ground.
"What the- since when was there a rock here?" I question and look at my feet. I find a young teen laying on his back, out like a light. "Holy shit" I get up and check his pulse. He's alive but definitely in pain. He had to fall but from where? I don't see any new wounds on his skin. Though he does have a bunch of scars. I hear footsteps approaching, and with no time to process it, I pick him up and start running home.
Opening the door to my house, I'm greeted by my beautiful fiance sitting by the fireplace humming to our unborn son.
I set the boy down on the table, Mera walking up to me.
"What happened?" Her voice is filled with worry.
"I'm uncertain, it looked like he fell, but there was nothing to fall from. I guess he crawled out to get help but passed out," I look at her with a weak smile, "I'll look in the town, see if I can find his parents or anyone related to him, do you mind taking care of him?"
"I will, be careful more guards are patrolling the lower town." She kisses me and I nod.
"I'll always return, I promise you, Mera." I kiss her hands and leave.
Flame POV
I wake up and groan, everything hurts. Something is on my forehead, it's damp and warm. As I open my eyes I see a small and worn down building, barely lit by a fire ablaze in the fireplace. A small ruby box sits on a shelf above it. A pile of blankets is neatly folded next to a bed, where a pregnant woman sits humming.
"Hello?" I barely murmur out while trying to sit up, she walks over to me and puts a hand on my chest.
"You must rest, child, you're injured." She removes the cloth on my forehead.
