A story based off of the show Miraculous Ladybug.

Charlotte's POV:
I sigh, setting my bag down.
"First day of school, down," I mutter to myself, sitting at my desk. That's when I see a weird box, " How did this get here?" I pick it up, looking at the odd markings all over it.
I've never seen anything like it. I set it to the side, deciding it could wait until after I finished my work.

Lynn's POV:
I sit on a park bench, relieved to finally finish my photo shoot. I lean back feeling something under my hand. I lift my hand to reveal a weird box with markings all over it. It wasn't there last time I sat down, someone must've lost it, but this area is off limits until we leave, maybe a kid then? We would've seen them. I look around, no one is here, the photographer is too busy packing his stuff and my ride won't be here until 6:00. I open the box. It glows for a moment revealing a ring with a silver ladybug on it. Something lures me to it, I put it on after another look around. The ring glows, a small floating creature reveals itself. It is red and black with two small antennae on its head. I look at it curiously.
"Hello! I am Lilith! You must be Lynx!" It chirps happily.
"What are you? How do you know my name?" I scoot back from it.
"I'm your Kwami, a magical creature that grants a bit of power to the miraculous holder." It smiles, "I know your name because my previous holder gave you my Miraculous. He told me your name beforehand!"
"Who was your previous holder?" I say lightly poking the creature. It giggles and flies around me.
"You'll meet him when you need him. Until then let me brief you on your new abilities!"

Charlotte' s POV:
I get around to opening the box, it glows and I find some weird cat earrings. "Maybe it's just a gift from dad, that would make sense." I speak to myself, and put them on.
They glow revealing a small, floating black cat. I fall out of my chair, scooting far away from the thing. I grab a pen and point it at the thing. "What are you?!" I shout.
"I'm your Kwami, duh! My name is Salem!" He flies around, digging through drawers. I just watch. "Got any food? I'm starving. Oh and I'm supposed to grant you some powers yada yada, you can destroy anything with one touch, but only one thing. Just say 'Salem, claws out', but I must be fed to keep up my strength." He says, I just nod and grab some candy from my bag, tossing it to the creature. As he eats I decide to ask him more.
"So you grant me powers…?" I carefully approach him, lightly poking him.
"Sorta, basically once you say the words I turn you into into a super being, almost invulnerable, the destruction thing, which you'll be able to use more when you're older, and increased hearing plus smell. You also get a neat costume that no matter how small the mask is, no one will recognize you." He says, finishing his candy.
"Alright then. Salem! Claws out!" I shout.
"Wait you don't know about-" He tries to say before he vanishes into the earrings.

Third POV:
"Lilith. Spots on." Lynx's voice rings in his empty house.
"Salem! Claws out!" Charlotte's voice booms in her room.

A glow surrounds the two, as their clothes transform into costumes.
Lynx's costume is a red, fairly tight suit with black spots and a black cape. His hair spiked up a bit, with a yo-yo wrapped around his waist. His eyes are midnight black with red pupils.

Charlotte's is a black skin tight suit with little bits of armor. A tail tied around her waist holding a staff, cat ears peering out of her curly red hair. Her eyes an emerald green with slitted pupils.

A large earthquake shakes the city, catching both of their attention. Char jumps out of her window, moving from rooftop to rooftop. Lynx grabs his yo-yo, throwing it. It catches on a rooftop bar and he swings out onto it.
Char extends the staff standing on it to get a better view. Lynx's yo-yo wraps around it, pulling her down and him up. In a panic Char prepositions her staff, holding onto it for dear life, the staff catches on two buildings and stops its descent. Lynx's yo-yo gets tangled on the staff, and it's user. The yo-yo ties the two together, hanging from the staff.
"Well isn't this just purr-fect." Char laughs a bit, Lynx just groans.
"Great my partner is a pun fan. Let's just get out of thi-" A large thud stops him.
Just around the corner a large being made of solid stone, swipes his hand across a building; turning it to rubble.
The two look at one another and nod.
"Press the button on my staff, I'll get your toy." Char says, working on the knot in the yo-yo
"It's a yo-yo, I didn't get to choose it." Lynx gripes, "Hold on tight" He says, moving enough to scoot the staff off its perch.
As they fall Lynx grabs Char and swings them down safely. He brings his yo-yo back, letting it hit Char, she glares at him and catches her staff.
They both look to the stone monster and get ready for a fight, Char looks to her masked partner and smiles bowing. She runs forward, using her staff to get some height. Lynx watches for a moment then joins her for the fight.

???:
"They will make a great team. Don't you think?" A soft voice says from the shadows.
"They will have to, else our world will fall." I respond with a smile.
