Sivaangi was sitting all dolled up in her wedding saree and was waiting for her husband in his room. As she looked upon herself, she could see many changes from her usual self, that same girl who used to be a tomboyish girl could see changes from the saree to the vermilion on her hair partition to the nuptial chain, everything added an extra beauty to her. She noticed each element and that was when the deep brown colour of the mehendi on her palms grabbed her attention. Her mind went to the day when the mehendi was applied on her palm.

"En pulla unna avalo love panren, paaru colour evlo dark ah vandhirukku" her mother n law exclaimed.

She thought of her friends and family symbolizing the dark colour to their true love.  But she was well aware about the reality. A lone tear escaped her eyes. She knew that he said yes to marry her just for the sake of his family. But what made it difficult for her was the change in him that she was seeing in him during all the functions of their marriage. The same person had a smile throughout the function. Was it really an act of love or he had changed his mind. Curiosity was glued to her mind and eyes whether things happening around her were true or not.

With thousands of emotions, she adjusted herself on the bed as she heard the door open and saw her so called well wisher turned husband with a slight smile on his face.

He stood there for a second mesmerized by the beautiful human in front of him. He saw each element on her which was saying loudly that she is forever his, only his. He forgot everything around him except a pair of eyes now standing in front of him. Soon the awkwardness in the room increased as he saw her hands slightly shivering. The reality strikes his mind. He had promised her parents that he will take care of her and will make her happy always. Without any delay he took the pillow and was about to take the couch when she voiced out.

"Ashwin, you can take the bed"

That was it. The girl who used to call him lovingly ashwiney now was acting like a stranger. He mentally slapped him for putting her into such a bad situation.

"Illa ma, I'll sleep in the couch" he said and as he moved forward when her tiny hands stopped him

"Ungalkku sonna puriyatha?"

"My rowdy is back"

"I won't be able to see tears on that person who only wanted good things to happen for me" ashwin said staring at her

"Why did you even marry me ashwin?" sivaangi asked leaving his hand and sat down on the floor hugging her legs. She was now all set to interrogate him on that single decision which changed her life.

"Because I love you" ashwin said as he too sat down near sivaangi

"What? Enna velayadriya?" she asked amused straightening herself fully to his side

"Aama ithu oru vilayattu than. An act of love" he said with a chuckle

"Ayyo kadavule...this man has gone mad" she said as she held her head in confusion

Ashwin was laughing loud but soon composed himself earning a glare from her.

"Ungallku siruppu varutha? I'm dying here thinking about your decision. Why on earth did you said yes. Ungallku ithu easy aarkkum ana enakku romba kashtamarkku. Nan enna thappu panne ungale love pannatha illa" she abruptly stopped as she realized what slipped off from her tongue

"Enakku theriyum" ashwin said with a grin

"Ung..alkku en..na enna theriyum" she stammered as she spoke

"That you love me" he said looking straight into her eyes

"Eppadi?" she said as she adjusted her saree and moved closer to his side

"Paakaama irundha kuda kadhu kekum. Namma wavelength appadi " he said as he move more closer to her

Sivaangi started to beat him and in between said "Because of you, naan ennoda mothal kalyaname enjoy pannala. I hate you"

"Oyye enna appo neraya vaati kalyanam panna aasai irukka" ashwin said as he took hold of her hands

"Then why did you tell me that you accepted this marriage only for your family?" she asked leaving his hands

"Aama neeyum en family thane. So technically I accepted this for you" ashwin said chuckling in between

"Ayyo ayyo neenga direct aa onnum solla maatiya Mr indirect king?" she said holding her hip

"Athu than ippo solla poreney" he said with his husky voice as he went more closer to her almost closing the gap in between them

"Ena...enna solla...poren?" she shivered as he came closer

"That I love my family" he said with a mischievous smile

Sivaangi sat there in confusion whether he said her or his family.

"Madam ungale than sonne. Ithu koode purinchikka maatiya. En family, ennoda ellame nee than ma" he said with his charming smile as he kissed her forehead

"Appo yen ithu munnadi sollalla?" she said as her eyes welled up

"Sonna than theriyuma?" he said with his base voice

Sivaangi didn't speak instead she nodded her head positively.

"Oyye enna vekka padriya?" he hold her chin and made her look at him but she was not looking into his eyes

He then stood up and lifts her in bridal style and asked "Appo start pannalama?"

"Enna start pannalamannu?" finally she looked at him

"Love start pannalannu. Nee enna yosichen?" he said as he saw his wife blushing and hide herself in his embrace.

Ashwin dropped his wife on their bed and it was just a beginning of a wonderful life ahead for them.
