Gandalfs POV

"...has taken up residence in a ruined fortress. It's not so very much after all." We continued to discuss about the blade and the company many hours after sundown.

"The question of this Dwarvish company, however, troubles me deeply. I'm not convinced, Gandalf. I do not feel I can condone such a quest." Saruman chuffed as he isn't very happy about the company of the dwarf prince.

"If they'd come to me, I might have spared them this disappointment. I do not pretend to understand your reason for raising their hopes." I started to hear Lady Galadriels voice in my head.

"They are leaving." She looked straight at me, emotionless.

"Yes."

"You knew."

Suddenly a young elf ran in. "My Lord Elrond. The Dwarves and the hobbits, they're gone."

Bilbos POV

"Be on your guard. We're about to step over the Edge of the Wild.(sound familiar? XD)
Balin, you know these paths. Lead on." I turned round to have one final look at Rivendell before we left, maybe I would never see it again.

"Aye."

"Master Baggins...I suggest you keep up." Thorin turned and grabbed me by the shoulder.

"Yes.." I turned and we walked into the dark forests around us

Later

"Hey! Hold on!" I barely heard Thorin shout through the thunder, lightning and rain. I tried to grabbed onto the rocks but my hands slipped and I fell forward. I felt a hand grab my back and pull me up. The rain is too strong for me to see who it was.
"We must find shelter!" Bofur shouted to Thorin. Suddenly out of nowhere giant rocks started falling down from the side of the mountain. I got pulled back by Kili. "Look out!"
Suddenly a large shadowy man shaped figure stood up from the side of the mountain. Everybody's face turned to shock.
"Hold on! This is no thunderstorm. It's a thunder-battle! Look! Well, bless me. The legends are true. Giants! Stone-Giants!"

Ulaalsias POV
Thorin grabbed my hand and pulled me back towards to the side of the mountain.

"Take cover, you fool!" We watched as two stone Giants started to brawl each other, throwing punches and smashing against each other.
"What's happening?" I slipped and fell forward.
I felt Thorin grab the back of my shirt and pulled me back. "Be careful!" He looked round me and looked shocked.

"Where's Bilbo? Where's the Hobbit?!" I turned round and I saw that my uncle was nowhere to be seen.
"There!" Kili pointed down the side of the mountain. My uncle was hanging by a single root.
"Get him!" Fili swung down and boosted my uncle up.

"I thought we'd lost our burglar." Fili smiled at Bilbo. Thorin looked at my uncle and frowned deeply.
"He's been lost ever since he left home. He should never have come. He has no place amongst us!" I stared at Thorin in shock. We continued to walk along the mountain before after what felt like hours we found a large cave.
We searched the entire cave but nothing was inside. We all set down and started got get a fire ready but Thorin shook his head. Right, then. Let's get a fire started.
"No. No fires. Not in this place.'Get some sleep. We start at first light. Bofur, take the first watch." Bofur nodded and sat down ready to take first watch. I squashed myself between my uncle and Fili and i soon felt myself drifting off to sleep.

Later

"What's that?" I woke to the sound of bofurs shouts.

"Hmm?" Kili shook my fiercely. "Wake up! Wake up!"
I stood up and saw that the stone and and sand had started to disappear from the cave floor.
"Look out! Look out!" Suddenly the whole floor gave way and we all slid down into long stone tunnels and fell into a giant wooden basket. We heard screeches. Out of nowhere many goblins came out of nowhere and grabbed us. Two goblins started to caress my face and started playing with my hair.
"Get back!" I punched one of the goblins rig in the face and he staggered backwards.
"You'll pay for this!" He hissed at me. The goblins started to dragged me along wooden passageways until we arrived at a great hall full of goblins. I saw a throne and possibly the biggest goblin I've ever seen. "Get off! Get your hands off me!" The goblins pushed me forward so I fell flat on my stomach.
"Who would be so bold as to come armed into my kingdom? Spies? Thieves? Assassins?" The large goblin had warts covering his face and two massive chins that hid his neck. I looked straight at him and nearly threw up at the sight of him.

"Dwarves, Your Malevolence."

"Dwarves?" He looked at us all, smiling, his teeth yellowed and old.

"We found them on the Front Porch."

" Well, don't just stand there. Search them. Every crack. Every crevice" they started to search us dragging out all of our weapons.

"What are you doing in these parts? Speak!" Everybody remained silent.

"Very well. If they will not talk, we'll make them squawk!"
