Next day

Ulaalsias POV

"Bzzzzzzzzz!" I quickly jumped up only to find a large bee flying in my face. I looked down to see the pressure around my waist, holding me tightly. I turned round only to see Thorins arms wrapped around me, holding me close. The door swung open quietly. I shot back down and pretended to be asleep.
I heard large footsteps walk through the house, echoing after each footstep. I heard as the footsteps walked into the kitchen and further into the house.

After a tight squeeze I managed to get out of Thorins tight grip. I tiptoed through the house, following the large figure.

I watched as he crept through the house to the living room where he sat down in an enormous chair which would surely seat five hobbits. I peaked round the door frame to catch a glimpse of him.
I saw he had thick muscles across his body, thick brown hair all over him but just enough and he walked barefoot like me as his feet were clearly too big for shoes.

"You don't have to hide from me child. I will not harm you." His head turned round and stared at me. I tiptoed towards him carefully as his face looked permanently angry.

"Take a seat child." I walked toward the large chair sitting opposite him. I jumped up to the chair which was a good distance off the ground.

"What's your name?" He stared at me, hands clasped together like two huge rocks. I gulped down my fears of this man as I knew he had no threat to me.

"My name is Ulaalsia Baggins. What is your name?"

"My name is Beorn. I am a skinchanger. One of the last ones in Middle Earth. What brings you on this journey?"

"I have always wanted to go on adventures ever since I was a little girl. I never thought that one would come knocking on my door. I have made so many friends and seen so many things. It's going to be hard to go back to the Shire after all of this." He smiled at me and nodded.

"Do have anywhere that I can wash my clothes? They are very dirty and I would like to clean them." He nodded.

He open the back door which lead to a beautiful green garden filled with wild flowers and animals. He walked along a stony path that was long and winding. When we finally stopped he moved aside to reveal a glistening blue lake, gleaming in the sunlight, crystal clear. It even had a miniature dock with a small fishing boat tied to it.

"It's beautiful...." he saw my face and chuckled.

"I'll leave you in peace." He walked back towards the house, turning round several times to check on me. I took my clothes out of my bag and started to scrub them in the clear water.

They were all stained with dirt and blood, either mine or from an Orc or warg that I sliced. I scrubbed for ages until I finally got all of my clothes clean. I found a low bearing branch to hang my wet clothes up. I turned round and gazed upon the beautiful green and blue lake.

"Shh she'll hear us." I heard someone laughing behind a hedge. I crept slowly towards it. I heard more giggling behind the hedge.

"Who's there?" I crept forward even more. I quickly pulled back the branches to reveal Fili and Kili laughing.

"You two gave me such a fright!" They continued laughing. I soon started laughing as well.

"What were you two doing?" Kili kept on laughing while Kili explained.

"We saw you get up this morning alone and we followed you so nothing bad would happen to you. It would be awful if something happened to you."

I smiled widely at him. They stood up and walked along the edge of the lake. The sun blazed high in the sky, showering heat causing us to feel like we were going to melt.

"It is so warm today." Kili shrugged off his jacket, boots and socks. Kili followed as well shrugging off unwanted clothes.

"If only there is some way we could cool down." Fili stared at his brother and smirked. Kili smirked back at him. Then they both turned and smirked at me.

They walked towards me and hoisted me up on their shoulders. I started to get slightly worried.

"What are you doing?" They started laughing loudly. They started to walk towards the dock. I suddenly realised what they were going to do.

"No! No no no no! Put me down!" They started sprinting towards the lake. I felt my body flying through the air as we all landed in the lake.
When I surfaced for air I found them both laughing again at each other.

"You two are such idiots sometimes." I splashed them both. They splashed me back. I swam over to Fili and dunked him down in the water. He popped up and laughed at me.

"Wait for us!" I saw several other member of the company jump into the water causing a larger wave of water.

I was suddenly hoisted up on to Thorins shoulders. I looked down to him and he started laughing.

"I haven't had this much fun in ages." We messed around for hours, splashing about and dunking each other in the water.

Two hours later

I trudged up the edge of the lake and started wringing my hair. Everybody else started climbing out, each smiling widely.

"I can't remember the last time I had that much fun." I wrung my shirt and my trousers. I ran over to my bag and brought out my comb that my uncle gave me when I was 5 it had my name engraved on the wood in fancy lettering.

I sat down on a rock and started coming it thoroughly. It dried quickly from the warm sunlight. I went tie it up but I felt a pair of hands running through my hair. I turned round and saw Thorin behind me. I sat forward and felt as he ran his fingers through my hair. He hummed a delicate tune as he played with smaller amounts of hair.

I felt him threading beads into my hair at the back of my head but I couldn't see it properly. He soon stopped and sat back.

"There. It's done." I turned and smiled at him. "Thank you. Let's go back to Beorns house to see it."

I ran back to Beorns house and gazed at it in the huge mirror. He had fastened it with a dwarven clasp that had a oak leaf imprinted on it. He had also thread blue beads on either side. He came walking through the door.

"Thorin it's so pretty! Thank you." He smiled and nodded at me.
"I'm glad that you like it."
