Later that night
Ulaalsias POV
I'm still mad at uncle. I made him his favourite dish for his supper to see if I could sweeten him up and maybe allow me to go on the adventure with Gandalf. I called him to the table and sat down with him.
"Look uncle. I made your favourite dish. Just because I love you so much." I gave him the sweetest smiled I could."Thank you very much Ulaalsia. But I'm still not letting you go on that adventure." I huffed. He chuckled at me. "I know you far too well Ulaalsia. I know all your secrets and all your tricks." He squeezed a little lemon on his dish. I heard a knock at the door. So did Bilbo. "I'll get it uncle. You stay here."
I tiptoed carefully towards the door. Another knock echoed through the corridors. I edged the door open and in front of me stood a large dwarf. His head was shaven, covered in tattoos and he had a long brown beard that was messy. He looked at me before bowing.
"Dwalin, at your service." I stood in awe at this dwarf that has appeared at our door. I returned the bow
"Ulaalsia Baggins, at yours. Have we met before?" He shook his head. "No. Now which way?"
"To what?"
"To supper lass." He took of his cloak and weapons. He handed them to me. "Be careful with those lass" I pondered over each of the weapons being careful with them. I put them down and went to see where our visitor went. I found him eating uncle Bilbos dish. Bilbo had managed to save himself a scone. He walked over to me and his face was furious. "Ulaalsia! What is he doing in here? You don't just invite strangers into our home!" He shout whispered at me. Another knock came through the house. "That'll be the door." The dwarf looked up from the plate. I ran back to the door and opened it again to reveal a shorter and wider dwarf with Snow White hair and a long beard. He gave me a friendly smile."Balin. At your service." I smiled back at him and returned the bow. I took his cloak and he went into the dining room where he greeted the other dwarf by head butting him. The door went again. I could tell Bilbo was getting more furious now. I opened the door to find not one but two dwarves. One was blonde with a really short beard and plaits through his hair. The other dwarf I couldn't take my eyes off of. He had long jet black and stubble. He had a cheeky smile plastered on his face. My heart melted just by looking at him. "Fili." The blonde dwarf spoke first. "And Kili." The other dwarf spoke. Then they bowed and spoke in unison. "At your service." Uncle Bilbo walked in and saw more dwarves at the door. He was just about to explode.
Bilbos POV
I am fed up with all these dwarves coming into my house. Ulaalsia couldn't stop staring at this tall long haired dwarves. I dropped the weapons I had in my hand and went over to the door.
The blonde dwarf looked over and smiled. "You must be Mr. Boggins." I wasn't allowing any more dwarves to enter my home and eat what was left of my pantry.
"Nope! You can't come in. You've come to the wrong house." And was about to shut the door but the black haired one stopped me. "Has it been cancelled?" I don't understand what he means. "Wha...nothing's been cancelled." He smiled and stormed right in. I got handed even more weapons. "Be careful with these; I've just had them sharpened." TheE one I assumed was Fili handed me. They went into the kitchen and greeted the other dwarves. They started to pick up whatever they thought was a chair. "Not that! That's my mothers glory box! Put that back!" And there was another knock at the door! I shouted over the sound of laughter. "No! There's no one home! I've got far too many dwarves in my kitchen as there is! If is is someone's idea of a joke, I can only say it is in poor taste." I pulled open the door to have many dwarves fall on top of each other. And standing behind hem was none other than the meddling wizard himself. I sighed. "Gandalf."Ulaalsias POV
I helped the dwarves sort chairs around the table. The largest of the dwarves had picked up three large wheels of cheese. "Excuse me. Do you want a cheese knife?" A dwarf which I had learned was Bofur laughed at me. "He eats it by the pound lass." The dwarves were walking backwards and forwards carrying food and things to sit on. Gandalf stood with his head on the ceiling counting all the dwarves muttering the names under his breath. "Fili, Kili. Uh...Oin, Gloin,Dwalin, Balin, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur...Dori, Nori. Ori." A dwarf came and offered Gandalf some tea but Gandalf asked for some wine instead. The glass was no bigger than his thumb. He drank it on one go. One of the dwarves spoke in a language that I didn't understand. Gandalf nodded. "You're right Bifur. We appear to be one dwarf short."
The dwarves ate and fed themselves until they could eat no more. My uncle stared at his empty pantry and sighed. One of the younger dwarves walked up to me. I learned that he was Ori. He was very polite. "Excuse me miss but what do I do with my plate?" Fili walked up to us and took the plate. "Give it here Ori. "He threw the plate and Kili caught it, only to throw it into the kitchen. The other dwarves started joining in. "Be careful with those plates!" We went into the dining room where the dwarves with clanging the knives and forks. "Can you not do that? You'll blunt them!" Bilbos face was furious now. "Do you hear that lads? He says we'll blunt the knives." They started up a beat, stamping their feet and hitting the table with their fists. I heard Kili start singing halfway down the hall.Blunt the knives, bend the forks
Kili joined in after him
Smash the bottles and burn the corks
Soon they were all singingChip the glasses and crack the plates
That's what Bilbo Baggins hates!Cut the cloth, tread on the fat
Leave the bones on the bedroom mat
Pour the milk on the pantry floor
Splash the wine on every door!Dump the crocks in a boiling bowl
Pound them up with a thumping pole
When you're finished if they are whole
Send them down the hall to roll! That's what Bilbo Baggins hates!
Bilbo pushed in to see that all his dishes were clean as if they had been bought that very day. Our laughter was interrupted but a deep knock at the door. Gandalfs smile soon faded. "He's here."
