Bilbos POV
"I did not come to steal from you O Smaug the Unassessably Wealthy. I merely wanted to gaze upon your magnificence. To see if you really were as great as the old tales say. I did not believe them." He slithered away from me coming into full view, spreading his wings out wide.
"And do you now?!" He roared, echoing through the giant hall.
"Truly...the tales and songs...fall utterly short of your enormity...O Smaug the Stupendous." He crawled towards me placing his scaly face close to mine.
"Do you think flattery will keep you alive?"
"No, no."
"You seem familiar with my name....but I don't remember smelling your kind before. Who are you...and where do you come from...may I ask?" His giant eye blinked, like an orange flame.
"I come from under the hill."
"Underhill?" He growled smoothly.
"And under hills....and over hills my path has led. And...through the air. I am he who walks unseen. I am-- Luck-wearer. Riddle-maker."
"Lovely titles. Go on." His mouth curled into a devious smirk.
"Barrel-rider."
"Barrels? Now that is interesting. And what about...your little Dwarf friends? Where are they hiding?"
"Dwarves? No. No, no. No, Dwarves here. You've got that all wrong." I shook me head.
"Oh, I don't think so, Barrel-rider. They sent you in here...to do their dirty work while they ...skulk about outside."
"Truly....you are mistaken...O Smaug, Chiefest and Greatest of Calamities."
"You have nice manners...for a thief and...a liar!"
Ulaalsias POV
"Come on this way!" I called halfway up the side of the mountain.
"Why did we leave Bard behind?!" Fili called behind me.
"He said he was doing something else!" Suddenly the mountain shook beneath us, sending us to the ground.
"Was that an earthquake?" Kili asked, his eyes wide with fear.
"I'm not sure. Come on. Let's get up this mountain."
a few hours later
"Balin! Dwalin! You're all still alive!" They all turned and looked at me and smiled. I ran towards the rest of the company as they all engulfed me in a group hug.
"I can't breathe!" they all let go off me, smiling. I giggled. My eyes met the gaze of Thorin.
"My Ula." I sprinted towards him. I wrapped my arms around him, knocking us both to the ground. I smashed my lips against him, kissing him deeply. It took him a few seconds to respond to my kiss. he cupped the sides of my face, tucking my hair behind my ears.
"I missed you so much." we stood up, his hand holding mine.
"I missed you too." I looked around at the company. I frowned.
"Where's he gone? Where is my uncle?" I looked towards the open door."You let him go alone?!" I shouted at the company. They all looked at me with guilty faces.
"Give him more time. He'll be fine." I yanked my hand out of Thorins.
"Time to do what? To be killed?" I felt the tears drip down my face. He cupped my face again, pulling me into a tight hug.
"You're afraid. So am I. But I'm sure your uncle will do his best you reclaim our homeland. Maybe one day...even be your homeland." I looked up at him. He kissed my nose gently. Suddenly there was a loud roar from inside the walls of the mountain.
"What the hell was that?" I called out. They all looked terrified.
"That my lass....was a dragon."

hello everyone! how are you all doing this fine day? I do apologise for not updating sooner but I've been super busy recently, working on cosplays as I have a convention in two weeks (I'm going as Castiel) and I've just had exams as well so I've been studying really hard to pass them.
I will be updating more frequently now that I have lots more time. I hope that you enjoy this chapter. If anyone has any suggestions or comments about any of my fanfics then don't hesitate to comment below.
Until I write again :)
