We finally made it back to the hotel after two nights at my cabin and meeting the employees at the gun range, inn in the town and the sporting good store.. I have set up with appointments with the managers of all departments in each to come to hotel to meet me and to bring their ideas, books and a copy of all vendors and personnel records.
Becca has been real busy meeting with the staff from her other businesses she inherited. She has been meeting on company a day in the conference room with me and financial advisor she hired to assist her in over looking over these properties. Four months had passed. The US attorney was coming with Cavanaugh to meet with me to get me ready for the upcoming trial in a few weeks. We went upstairs and entered out suite. Jane and Frost had me take a nap. I was drained. Jane came in and told me to read the note. I smiled. Jane handed her cell to Frost who took it in the lounge area with the TV on . While I went in there and told him I was going to take a nap out here to give Becca a chance to really sleep and not me hover over her. She needed her privacy. Partner I am going to get us some dinner and will be back in an hour or so. The US Marshall's are here outside in the corridor if you need them. Okay thanks. Jane locked the door as soon as I left the suite.
I got some cold drinks and flutes. I was going to celebrate with Becca in private. I locked our bedroom door and put a chair under the locks just in case. Becca turned the TV on low . My family had to stay away during this time and we stayed in the hotel only for the next two weeks.
We woke up and packed a bag for two weeks. My sister came and got the rest of our things we left downstairs for her along with the vehicle keys to take to the Vineyards until we returned.
Kiki,Lisa and I drovd the vehicles back to Everlasting. Katelyn will they be ready to see me when this trial is over with? Yes. Everything will make sense when they return. I wouldn't want to be Jane when she tells Angela and her brothers she is moving here for good. This is a huge move. I understand the need of starting a new life. She had a horrible twice being tortured by Hoyt. I was so glad when Vincent told me he killed him. Jane suffered enough and still does with ptsd episodes. What do you mean Kiki? Kiki tells us all what Jane had went through with Hoyt and why she has scars on her feet feet hands. She lives with that everyday. At the time, they couldn't do surgery to remove the scarring. I wonder if she would be up to now. Mom could you do that for her if she wanted it done? Yes, but it would mean she would be off of work for three months. I don't know if she can afford to be off that long. Mom I will pay for her time if that is the reason. I see what ptsd from the war has done to you. I know sweetie. I will do the surgery for free. I know her hospital stay could be covered by the Martin foundation. Mom you and Kiki are good friend with the commissioner here. Please ask him if she agrees if they will keep her position open.
