Year 850, Interior of Wall Maria (Unknown Forest)

—"Oh, Eren. You're up.—

Eren was rightfully confused and disoriented. He stared up at us in a daze, flipping his cloak back to check on his regenerating arms.

"Eh?" He squeezed out as it finally hit him, the situation he was in. "Wha- what's going on? Why don't I have arms?"

"Oh... sorry. That was me." Reiner apologized almost sheepishly, avoiding eye contact with Eren. "I was in a hurry... I bit your nape while in a panic and missed both your arms in the process."

"I see." Eren sighed, still fairly out of it. "I lost..."

The atmosphere was tense. Eren glared up at Reiner who intensely gazed back at him. Bertholdt and I watched in anticipation and Ymir's eyes flicked between the four of us.

In a split second, Eren had lunged forward and sank his teeth into his stub of an arm. Bertholdt and I both jumped up from our sitting positions as he moved.

"Eren! Don't be an idiot!" I shouted at him as Ymir grabbed his arm and pulled it away from his mouth. "Use your eyes and take a good look around you!"

I was referring to the several titans who had yet to leave. They remained at the base of the trees we were in, faces relaxed, but eyes locked right onto us.

Ymir had taken all of that into consideration already and was forcefully lecturing the idiot next to her.

"And then there's them." She sneered, jabbing a finger in our direction. "Those two stingy bastards plus Rinjie. They're the only ones wearing ODM gear. Reiner's wearing yours. I'm still unclear of why she's cooperating with them but, nevertheless, even with our titan powers there's no chance of escape for us here."

"That's not all," Reiner cut in, crossing his arms. "Right now, neither of you could be able to transform even if you wanted to. Your strength is finite, and at the moment it's all being used to repair your bodies."

"Big talk, asshole." Eren scoffed, causing Reiner to scowl at him. "Who the hell would believe anything you say?"

"Don't be ridiculous, Eren." I shifted my weight from one leg to the other, crossing my arms across my chest. "Now isn't the time to be a hardass. These two know far more than you do."

"Like hell I'd listen to you, either!" He squawked loudly. "Why are you suddenly siding with them? Are you in on this, too?"

"Fucking hell..." I seethed, pinching the bridge of nose. This whole situation was already complicated enough. "It's not something you'd understand, Eren. This world is so much bigger than just your life in the walls."

"What's that supposed to mean?!"

"Enough." Ymir harshly clapped his shoulder to shut him up. "Reiner, you said you'd talk once Eren woke up. Spill it; what do you plan to do with us from here?"

"You're coming with us to our hometown." Reiner began after a pause. "Don't even try to fight back. As Ymir said, this area is a titan hive, we'd be eaten in a snap once we run out of energy. In other words, we have to wait until night falls, that's when the titans don't move. Whatever happens then, whether you come with us or escape, waits until then."
