Year 850, Shiganshina District

-The Survey Corps had arrived.-

~~~
From my place in the tower, I could distantly hear who I assumed was Commander Erwin shouting orders to the other soldiers, along with the high-pitched squeal of grapple hook lines being shot and the hiss of compressed gas escaping its metal canisters.
The small figures atop the wall split away from each other and began racing across towards the other side of the town.
As time ticked by, more and more flares were fired into the air, signaling the scattered forces of each group's condition.
An explosion erupted from the outer gate, signaling that someone had transformed. I had a high vantage point, giving me a clear line of sight to said area where a stiff lump filled the gate where there had been a gaping hole moments earlier.
So, he managed to figure it out. Hange must've drilled it into him, so they could seal both gates, assuming.
I scanned the walls around the district again, noticing everyone was heading back to the inner gate rapidly.
I should probably get to Erwin before they get there, hopefully to avoid any more conflict than there needs to be.
I left my makeshift hideout and used my gear to swiftly race through the rooftops and to the wall. From there I scaled upwards and leapt up to the top, startling the soldiers already there. Erwin, who was right in front of me, took a step back but showed no surprise.
"Commander Erwin." I stood straight and saluted, vaguely aware of the other soldiers' gazed boring into me.
"Rinjie Caine." Erwin dipped his head to me, and I lowered my hand. "Tell me, what do you know of the situation?"
"There are four people here you need to be aware of; Bertholdt, Reiner, Zeke - the Beast Titan - and the Cart Titan." Erwin's eyebrows raised ever so slightly at the name of the last titan, but didn't interrupt.
"They plan to recapture Eren and bring him back to their homeland, Marley. Bertholdt is hidden in a barrel on the Cart Titan's back, but it and the Beast Titan's whereabouts are unknown to me. I don't know where Reiner is either, but he's somewhere inside of the district. Zeke has an army of titans at the ready-"
"Now wait a moment," the soldier beside the commander cut in in protest. "How can we trust anything you say? Didn't you run off with the two traitors after they lost Eren?"
"Enough, Dirk. She only acted on my command. Whatever you think she did, I told her to." Erwin placed a hand on Dirk's shoulder to reassure him. "Thank you, Rinjie. Your information hopefully shall prove helpful. I can only hope-"
He was cut off mid-sentence by another flare close by. Not a few moments later, a barrage of soldiers appeared over the wall and gathered around a familiar blonde boy with large blue eyes.
"Arlert, did you find them?" One soldier asked as soon as he crested the wall. "Where are they?"
"I haven't found them yet," Armin started. "But I need everyone to search the walls!"
