Young-Mi's POV:
Sitting back on a couch with a calm mind now. Talking to your favorite people on your worst days surely makes you feel good. Their smiles and words give you strength.
I calmed my mind down and was at a point where there were almost no thoughts now. I took my phone lying under the table lamp and saw a text from Jun-su.
"Hey! I hope you reached home safely and you are not going overboard." Text with a blushing smile at the end made me smile too.
He was also one of my people who was slowly coming close day by day to me.
"Hm. Took a shower and sorting thoughts out. Wanna have a walk? Are you home?" I texted in reply.
"Hmm. I also just got home. Hmm. I am up. See you in 5min. Same place." Text with a wink.
"Ok." I texted.
These days we have grown closer than a few months back. It feels a sense of warmth when I am with him. No worries no company talks no adultered filtered talks. Just pure friendship with no benefits.
I climbed down through the lift and saw him again at the swings.
I headed there. "Hey!"
"Hey. You came fast ha." He said.
"You ain't stressing yourself much right?. I hope I was of some help today to you." He said as he swung gently under the moonlight.
"Well yes. Thanks to you I got my first lead today."
"So, you should be happy. Why have you so stressed sounded?" He asked stopping his swing. He held my hand and made me sit in the swing beside him.
"Well, the lead I got is related to one of the people I trust a lot!." I said.
"Hmm. You can share if you feel like it and you are comfortable." He said looking straight into my eye with a sign that he would understand me and help me. I could not resist it.
I briefed him on what happened till now and about tans too.
"I see. This is a serious issue and also it falls under copyright and piracy acts of crimes. But I can't believe who can do such unprofessional stuff. As soon as some stuff goes online even be it the lyrics video of BTS on YouTube, the company gets all the rights on its name reserved. How can such an issue arise when they have such a dedicated team with them?"
He was in a total dilemma and I could sense it.
The question he raised could not be underestimated. He was pointing out the unsaid fact known to all of us.
"Well, if there is someone who is involved from the team then I guess it would be hard for BTS to trust someone further," I said with concern.
"Whatever the reason may be and whoever is behind these dirty games has surely a big motive and he is catching small fishes to catch a big one now." He said.
"Yeah, it seems so too to me. But now the problem is how do I ask my manager. He is my head after all." I said.
"Well, you need to think of a way to ask him personally not directly because if he is involved in this and is guilty then he can have more than one accomplice and that can be dangerous and for you to ask him directly. Either they all will get alert or vice versa."
I agreed with his point.
"But for now you need to rest. You look super exhausted." I smiled back.
We took a lift and went back to our rooms. It was indeed a long day.
The next day in office:
Sitting on the chair all nervous thinking of what to do gave me a headache. I also had an important meeting with the client today. It was about to start in an hour.
While I was busy thinking of the way to ask the Jin-Hoonssi about it, my mind was also split into the other half thinking of the meeting. As IT person our minds are trained to be working in 2 or more halves working at a time.
Time just flew away and I had only 5minutes to the meeting. When the client called up to inform us that he would not be able to make it today because of other clashing meetings he has.
I was never so glad to hear canceled meetings notice like today. While we were deciding upon other suitable meeting call timings I got a thought struck like lightning in my head.
I took out my diary and wrote down some questions. And placed some papers on it. I got up from my chair and went towards Ji-hoonssi's cabin. I saw that his secretary Seok was also with him. He was his PA who managed all the stuff for the manager.
I waited for a few moments and gathered my courage to step in. I had no plan but I was wishing to help me. Fingers crossed.
I knocked twice on the door and entered. It seemed like they were having some discussions. They smiled towards me and I smiled back.
"Ji-Hoonssi, I just had a call with that US client and he says he wants to renew the PO for now and then take on the other discussions further," I said.
Ji-Hoonssi seemed a little conscious while Seok was staring at me.
"This you could have communicated over teams message or an email too. What was the need to come and tell this over in person?". Seokssi asked as if he was suspecting me.
I ran over my thoughts at 1000x speed to think of something. " Well, True but I need a sign of him over this paper," I said opening my diary which had some papers.
I was handing over the diary when I saw a coffee cup in front of Seok's table. I faked placing the diary and pushed over the cup on Seok. The coffee spilled over his trousers. And in no time he got angry and cursing me went outside the door.
I hurriedly replaced the papers and pointed Ji-Hoonsssi to look over the diary I had and asked him to write in it without any expressions.
He seemed to have understood and he in rush took the pen from me and wrote something on the diary. I was constantly looking for Seok's return and in a while, I saw him coming back to the cabin.
Ji-Hoonssi seemed to have sensed what I was doing and he placed the papers inside the diary and gave it to me.
"Ok. Young-Missi. You can proceed with this and if you need something else then you can come in person and let me know. This client is complicated and hence I will take care of him." He said.
Before this sentence ended Seok had already entered the room and took his place on the seat. He is quicker in action than I thought.
"Well, talking of which client? I also want to know." Seokssi asked.
He is always peeking in for no reason as he thinks he is PA he knows better of all than anything as always even if it's not his department.
I smiled back and moved out.
What is that Ji-Hoonsssi has written in Young-Mi's diary and what is that she wanted to ask. Read the next chapter to find out more.
