Chapter 9

Andy's 22 Weeks and 2 Days... Since Jennifer decided to stay for a week, she'll leave when Andy's 22 Weeks and 6 Days. Since Jennifer arrived two days ago, she and Andy have become good friends. Tomorrow is a shift. So, they went over to Lucas's place.

They left and got there around noon. They planned to talk and hang out. Conversation... Vic: Hey, guys. Andy: Hey. Where's Lucas? Vic: Out. Andy: Have you talked about telling the team? Vic: Yes, we have. We've decided to tell the team next shift. Andy: Okay. Jennifer: May I come to next shift? Andy: Sure. That sounds like fun.: End of Conversation After that, Lucas arrives home, and they all hang out until sunset.

Andy's 22 Weeks and 3 Days... Today, is a shift today. Andy got up earlier than usual. She usually gets up at 6:15 in the morning, but she got up today at 5:30 in the morning. She got up earlier because Vic, Travis, Jennifer, and Lucas plan to meet at the station early. So, she got up and dressed. By the time she finished getting ready, Jennifer woke up. They plan to meet Jennifer at the station at eight in the morning. Andy, Vic, Lucas, and Travis all got there about thirty minutes before shift.

Conversation...Andy: You guys ready for this? Vic: Defiantly. I've been ready for this for the past year. Andy: I'm glad to see you wearing you're both wearing rings. Lucas: Me too. Travis: Let's see how long it takes them to notice. Andy: Jennifer will be here at eight or nine. I volunteer to make breakfast. Travis: Really? Andy: Yes.

So, Andy makes breakfast with Travis's help. Breakfast is almost done with the team's arrival. Maya first, then Jack and Dean, and then everyone else. By the time they were dressed, breakfast was on the table and it smelled good. Travis was downstairs, and Jennifer comes in.

Jennifer: Hello Travis. Travis: Hello. Let's go upstairs. (They go upstairs.) Travis: Look who I found. Andy and Vic: Jennifer, hey. Maya: Hello, you are you? (Lucas comes back into the room.) Lucas: You're here. Jennifer: Yep. Lucas: Join us for breakfast. Jennifer: Who cooked? Travis: I had some help. (They all sit down and have breakfast.) Jennifer: Have you told them? Lucas: Nope. (Lucas whispers something in Jennifer's ear.) Lucas: We're waiting for them to notice the ring. Jennifer: Okay. Maya: So, who are you? Jennifer: I'm Lucas's sister. Maya: Really? How do you know Andy, Vic, and Travis? Jennifer: I'm staying at Andy's house, and we've been hanging out. (Dean coughs.) Vic: Dean, are you alright? Dean: Ring. Maya: What? Dean: On Vic's finger. (Everyone looks up. That's when the five of them smile.) Maya: What? (They all stand up.)

Andy: I would like to introduce Mr. and Mrs. Ripley. (The three clap.) Maya: What? Is this a joke? Andy: Nope. Jennifer: They got married two days ago. Travis: It was amazing. They're vows were beautiful. Jennifer: Also her dress. Andy: Plus our dresses. Dean: Wait a minute. The chief and Vic got married. The three of you were there, and they were dresses, pictures, and vows. Travis: Also, dress uniforms. Andy: Plus confetti and a PJ party. Jack: How long have you guys been together? Vic: Over a year. Lucas: An amazing year. (The team is just shocked.) Andy: I found out when I was thirteen weeks pregnant, and Travis found out around nineteen weeks. Jennifer: Well, I gotta bounce. I've gotta do something. See you at the house. Andy: Yeah. Text if you need anything. Jennifer: Okay. Bye y'all. It was great to meet all of you. Maya: Bye. (The team is still confused. They're trying to comprehend everything.) Andy: We planned a wedding, had the ceremony, and then a party. Plus dinner. Jack: I just believe you guys got married. (The call bell goes off. Everyone leaves but Vic, Lucas, and Andy.) Andy: How do you feel telling them? Vic: Good. I think it will take a little bit for them to comprehend. Lucas: Agreed. A firefighter did marry the fire chief. Andy: When are we going to tell the entire department? Lucas: They will find out whenever. Especially when I kiss my wife in public. Andy: Okay.: End of Conversation After that, the three of them hang out and talk. They then continue and finish their shift.
