Chapter 11

Andy's 30 Weeks and 6 Days... Yesterday, there was a shift. Robert got everything ready for him to start at Station 22 next shift. When Andy got home, Robert was asleep. So, she went upstairs to the nursery and just thought. After a few minutes, there was a knock on the door.

Conversation... Robert: Whatcha thinking about? Andy: Nothing. Robert: You said you want to work on our relationship right? Andy: Yes, why? Robert: Will you go on a date with me tonight? Andy: Maybe. What will I wear? Robert: That's up to me. Andy: Where are we going? Robert: That's a surprise. Andy: Okay. Let's go to my closet. (They go to her closet. Robert picks out a pair of leggings, a shirt, and a jacket.) Andy: Fancy. (After that, they hang out until about four in the evening. That's when they start getting ready. Andy does her hair, makeup, and gets dressed.) Andy: How do I look? Robert: Beautiful. Andy: Really? Robert: Yes. (They leave and go to the restaurant.) Andy: This is where we had our official first date. Robert: Yep, I thought we should have our first date again. Andy: That's really sweet. (They go in, have dinner, and talk.) Andy: You start work next shift, what do you think? Robert: I'm scared. I hope the team won't kill me. Andy: Me too. What do you think the team will say when they see you? Robert: I don't know. I think they will hate me. Andy: Likely. (The waiter brings them a drink.) Andy: A toast? Robert: To what? Andy: New beginnings. Robert: Okay.: End of Conversation After that, they toast to new beginnings. They then hang out, have dinner, and talk. They then go home. When they get home, Robert kisses her goodnight and then goes into his room.

Andy's 31 Weeks and 2 Days... Today, Robert starts at Station 22. Andy and Robert took separate cars to the stations. When Andy got to shift, Travis and Vic came up to her.

Conversation... Andy: He starts today. Do you think we'll get a call with station 22? Travis: Probably. Andy: I wish I could come out with y'all. Travis: Me too.

They all clean for a little bit, and then the team gets a call with station 22. The team comes back after two hours. When they come back, Maya has a look on her face. So, Andy goes and finds Travis and Vic.

Andy: How bad was it? Vic: She yelled at him, and then got in the firetruck and left. Andy: How did the team react to seeing him? Travis: They were shocked. Andy: Will you guys come with me to tell Maya I know he's back? Travis: Sure. (They go into Maya's office.) Maya: Hey, Andy. I need to tell you something. Andy: I know that Robert's back, so does Vic, Lucas, and Travis. (Maya is speechless.) Maya: Why did you not tell us? Andy: You hate him. You also don't get how I love you, but I do love him. Maya: Why? Andy: You can't choose who you love. Vic loves the Fire Chief, and I love him. I don't care what you think! (Andy storms out. By now the team has gathered outside Maya's office.) Vic: I'm sorry. (Vic runs after Andy.) Vic: Andy, I'm sorry. Andy: At least you, Lucas, and Travis support me. Vic: Yes, we do. So, does Jennifer. Andy: She knows? Vic: Yes, she does. Andy: Thank you so much, Vic. The team hasn't been there for me, but you guys have. I'll be out in a couple of minutes. Vic: Okay. (By now, Liam is going crazy because Andy yelled and is freaking out.) Andy to Liam: Baby boy, we're just fine. Please, stop kicking me. I love you.: End of Conversation After that, Andy took five minutes, and then she came out.

Andy was greeted by the station, with so many questions. She just ignored the questions and went to the front desk. The shift went on. Andy realized that she doesn't need to explain herself.

Andy's 31 Weeks and 3 Days... When Andy got home from her shift, Robert wasn't home yet. So, she went and sat down on the couch. It took a few minutes, but he came thru the door. When he came thru the door, he was surprised to see her. However, he came and sat down.
