the pitter patter of the rain hits my skin
ever so lightly like ballerinas dancing to a Sawn Song
the colourless tears that the sky cries soaks my
chocolate skin and bathes away all of my insecurities
I am bare, naked
standing in the rain
with a blank mind
I feel calm
I feel nothing else
I feel the rain.
and as the tiny drops dance and
coat my skin I sigh
and as the tasteless water hits
my hair
I close my eyes, close my ears
feeling the warmth of the coldness of the raindrops
and the chilliness in the air
right now I don't care
as I recite Let It Go
I convince myself that the cold never bothered me anyway
but I involuntary
think to all the things that happened to me
when life slapped me in the face and
bruised my skin
I think back to the luke warm tears
running down my face faster than Usain
cause my emotions went haywire,
yes hit with a thunder bolt
the sky rumbled, coloured grey
reminding me of how sad I feel but as I ravish in these memories
tears fall from not my face but the sky
singing a lullaby
and in that instant I'm not
awake but unconscious
cause at the time the rain drops
danced on my skin
I became at peace
in my little shell,
oblivion
