ch.5: nightmares

One month later Ava is sitting at the kitchen drinking coffee in the middle of the night then Claire walks in

'Hey, there you are, I was wondering where you was at?' Claire says, she walks up to her and sits down at the head of the table

'Sorry I didn't mean to scare you, I just had a dream a good one actually but to you it might be a nightmare' Ava says, Claire looks at her confused

'What do you mean?' Claire asks

'I know that we had this conversation before about another kid not right now but you know in the future at some point' Ava says

'Yeah, I know that, was your dream about us talking about having another kid and I wasn't on board with it?' Claire asks, Ava looks at her with tears in her eyes

'Yeah, in a way you was' Ava says

'Babe if I was against having another kid then we wouldn't have Sabrina, i was never against having kids, i just wanted it to make sure that we was ready financial that's why i kept putting it off for so long because we wasn't ready just yet' Claire says

'Honestly it's good thing that you're in charge of our money because I would probably wanted a baby and buy everything in sight then we would be poor' Ava says, they laugh

'Do you still want to carry the next one?' Ava asks

'Oh yeah, I'm not saying to be cocky I know that pregnancy isn't going to be a walk in the park' Claire says

'Oh yeah that's for sure or labor, I know that you wasn't being cocky' Ava says

'Are you at ease now?' Claire asks

'Not really' Ava says

'Why what's wrong now?' Claire asks

'I just wish Amanda would tell your sister about her nightmares' Ava says

'Is she still having them?' Claire asks

'Yeah, this last one was about Sava just got back from the military and didn't remember her just you and me, Abby wasn't in it because you know she unfortunately pass away' Ava says

'If I know my sister and I do, she's going to catch on eventually if she sees that Amanda keeps waking up in the middle of the night every night then she will know that something is wrong with Amanda' Claire says

'That's true, in high school she would always get what's bothering us out of us' Ava says

'Yeah she was always good at that, you ready to go back to bed?' Claire asks

'Yeah, I'm going to check on Sabrina before we go to bed' Ava says, she gets up and Claire does too, Ava puts her cup in the sink

They walk in their bedroom and walks up to Sabrina's crib they look at her sleeping peacefully, they both smiles at her

'I would kiss her but I don't want to wake her up' Ava whispers

'Yeah' Claire says, then Sabrina starts moving and makes sounds from her mouth, then stops

'Ok lets go to bed because I think she knows that we're here' Ava whispers

'Good idea' Claire whispers

They get into bed and cuddles up to each other then Claire kisses Ava on her head and Ava smiles because that's Claire's way of saying I love you and goodnight, Ava returns it by kissing Claire on her cheek, then eventually they fall asleep

Amanda is laying on the couch watching tv because she had another nightmare about Savannah so she came down to watch some tv then she hears Savannah walk down the stairs and she immediately shuts her eyes pretending to be asleep then Savannah walks in the living room she walks up to Amanda and smiles because she's sleeping peacefully but knows that she has to wake her up unfortunately she sits down beside her

'Babe, wake up?' Savannah asks, Amanda groans

'Five more minutes mom' Amanda says

'Ok one ew and two I'm your girlfriend and three you're sleeping on the couch again' Savannah says, Amanda opens her eyes and looks at her

'How did you know that?' Amanda asks

'I noticed that you have been since i got back from the military, are you still having these nightmares about me?' Savannah asks

'Yeah, and i don't know why either because I know that you're not going to leave but half me is so use to you leaving' Amanda says

'Mmmm, I had the same problem when I got back from the military, I would wake up in the mornings thinking I'm still in the military but as I get my surroundings I know that I'm actually home' Savannah says

'So what do I do, go to therapy like you?' Amanda asks

'Yeah you can, try it out, it wouldn't hurt you if you did' Savannah says

'Alright I'll try it, I think that it might help but you never know because therapy works for some people' Amanda says

'That's true at least you're opened minded to it' Savannah says

'True, now I'm tired' Amanda says, she yawns

'How about we try something out first before you go to therapy' Savannah says

'Ok like what?' Amanda asks

'How about we sleep in the same bed just cuddling and sleeping nothing more and when you have another nightmare you can grab me so that way you know I'm actually there' Savannah says

'I like that idea better then therapy' Amanda says, Savannah chuckles

'Why so my 'muscles can keep you safe at night'?' Savannah asks, Amanda chuckles

'Oh hush' Amanda says

Something that Amanda told Ava the other day and Savannah over heard them talking about it, Savannah smiles

'Come on lets go try it out' Savannah says

'Ok' Amanda says

They get up and heads upstairs to Savannah's room just like Savannah said they just cuddle Savannah kisses Amanda on her head in no time Amanda falls asleep without anymore nightmares
