ch. 4: first date

A couple of days later Amanda and Ava are having lunch together outside on the back porch at Ava's and Claire's house because Ava is still on medical leave still

'So how it go other night?' Ava asks

'It went good, she's going to give us a chance and start off slow, she also said something interesting too' Amanda says

'Oh yeah like what?' Ava asks

'Why wait on going out with someone you have to take chances or you will be left in the dust' Amanda says

'Sounds she's ready to start dating which means either Abby told she could after she died but wait a little bit because we all knew she was going to die' Ava says

'I know but you were i should have told her earlier but i wanted her to get use to her surroundings again' Amanda says

'Right' Ava says, then Amanda gets a text from Savannah and she looks at it

'Or doesn't want to take things slow' Amanda says, Ava looks at her confused

'What do you mean?' Ava asks

'She asked me out on a date tonight' Amanda says, she looks at her

'Is that bad?' Ava says

'No, it's just surprising good' Amanda says

'What did you say?' Ava asks

'Yes, of course, you know that i always wanted to go on a date with her since high school' Amanda says

'Yup and now you get your chance to be with her finally' Ava says

'Yeah, I do, I just hope that i can give her everything that Abby did maybe more' Amanda says

'Aw, I know that you will, like i always say communication is key' Ava says, then Sabrina lets out this big loud ass scream

'Oh my god, does she ever take a break' Ava says, she gets up and leaves, Amanda laughs

Later that night Savannah and Amanda are sitting across from each other and as they waiting on their food Savannah can't stop staring at Amanda, Amanda blushes and Savannah chuckles a little bit

'Sorry I didn't mean to embarrass you by staring at you or still wearing my army uniform' Savannah says, Amanda smiles

'I could never be embarrassed about you serving our country' Amanda says, Savannah smiles

Savannah is wearing the light green shirt, the military pants, and brown boosts, hair in a ponytail and she still has to wear her uniform because she's working at a military hospital in their town for the injured or not

'I feel like i own you an apology' Savannah says, Amanda looks at her confused and sits up to the table

'What do you mean?' Amanda asks

'Um I don't know if you remember but back in high school I asked you on a pretend date with me to make Abby jealous because we was fighting and that was immature for me to do because basically I used you and for that I'm sorry, as forgiving myself I can't do that until I know that you will forgive me if you want to that is I'm not forcing you too' Savannah says, Amanda smiles

'Sava I forgive you along time ago for that, that was in high school we were teenagers back then we were immature back then but we're adults now some of us are more mature then others but I know that you won't use me now in any way' Amanda says, Savannah smiles

'Of course not because Abby's ghost and Ava will kick my ass' Savannah says, Amanda laughs

'No but seriously I will never use like that again I promise you that' Savannah says

'Good' Amanda says, she smiles

'I'm not saying this because I didn't love Abby because I did, it's just I feel more connected to you in a way, not because you're alive and Abby is dead, we're all going to die at some point we just don't how or when, but i feel you understand me better then she did, I guess when found out that she had cancer i noticed that we became distance from each other, you know What's funny?' Savannah asks

'What?' Amanda asks

'She told me a couple of months before she died after i died you better treat Amanda right, for awhile I didn't know what that meant until now' Savannah asks

'Hmmmm, she knew that we would end up together somehow, you said that I could ask you anything about your time in the military since you're not apart of it anymore, is that still true?' Amanda asks

'Yeah it is, what's up?' Savannah asks

'What kind of medical issues did you have to make them realise you?' Amanda asks

'Um I don't know how this happened but I developed panic attacks in the military somehow and when I had them asthma would come into play and I couldn't catch my breath as time went on it just got worse, I had my inhalers with me at all times but they never did help, I got an x-Ray every time I had an episode no lung cancer like Abby, they don't know why this is happening all of a sudden' Savannah says

'Hmmmm, that's interesting' Amanda says, then their food comes

After dinner they are walking to Savannah's car until they hear screaming coming down the street they look that way it's a girl getting robbed

'SOMEBODY HELP ME!?' the girl screams

Savannah looks at Amanda for permission to stop it, Amanda looks at her and smiles

'Go for it, be careful' Amanda says, Savannah smiles and kisses her on the cheek

'Like always' Savannah says

She runs towards them the guy finally gets the girl's bag and turns around to meet Savannah's right hand and falls down to the ground out cold then Amanda runs up to them

'Babe call 911 now!' Savannah says

Amanda is in shock that Savannah called her that but she snaps out of it and calls 911, Savannah turns him over puts his arm behind his back and one hand on his arm she grabs the girl's bag and hands it to her

'You ok ma'ma?' Savannah asks

'Yes, just shaken up, thank you' the girl says, Savannah smiles

'You're welcome' Savannah says

The cops comes takes the guy in, questions the girl, Savannah and Amanda, then let's them go

Amanda and Savannah gets home they are sitting on the couch face to face

'I was not excepting that robbery to happen tonight of all nights our date was going perfectly fine until then' Savannah says, Amanda smiles, Savannah closes her eyes and puts her hand over face

'I didn't expect that either or you calling me babe either' Amanda says

Savannah opens her eyes and looks at her in shock, then she looks at the floor and remembers calling her babe Savannah smiles

'Oh yeah I did' Savannah says, she looks at Amanda

'I hope that was ok to do, everything was happening so fast...' Savannah starts saying before Amanda cuts her off by kissing her

'It's perfectly fine' Amanda says

they both smiles and goes back to kissing until their lips are numb then it's time for them to go to bed not together yet 😉
