Chapter 21 - Bankoff

(Aspen POV)

Three weeks later and we are in a jet checking out a 'HYDRA' facility. We have been slowly feeding Sarah information about missions. So far nothing has happened. This time Natasha gave the great idea of telling us near Sarah, so she could hear, that she tracked down a HYDRA facility that had documents left behind about me and the serums used on me. It was a facility I knew wasn't in use anymore but did house me for about a year. According to Candice, she was there also.

"What do we do if nothing happens here?" I look over at Steve. He has been so supportive and helpful with us. He had a major part in getting our cuffs removed (except Sarah) and getting me reinstated into missions. 

"We will figure it out, like we always do, together" He held my hand squeezing it tightly and giving me a small side smile.

"Hey Buck, she's going to be okay" I yell across the jet. Bucky and my sister have been going on dates almost every night, getting to know each other. They had almost everything in common. Right now he was shifting in his seat uncomfortably worried about leaving her alone with Sarah. "Come on Buck she literally has a shield as an ability..she'll be fine" He nods trying to calm himself down. If I didn't know any better he was falling for her hard.

"We're here" Natasha calls out from the cockpit. I get up and stretch hoping I wasn't going to walk into a fight. Steve pulls up the screens with the data on the facility. Mostly blueprints so we could be prepared.

He opens the back door letting in a winds that blow my hair back. The lights turn red in warning of the open hatch. I walk to the edge turning to face them. "See you down there boys" I wink at Steve before spreading my arms out and falling backwards into the void of the night sky.  I can hear them talking on the communications systems.

"Did she have a parachute?" Bucky asks concerned.

"No she didn't...god I love that woman" Steve says chuckling before I see him jump out himself. 

Once I get close to the ground I use electro magnetic pulses to slow down and land. Thanks dad for teaching me that trick from your many many suits. I crouch near a tree keeping quiet while I look around for any electric signals that shouldn't be there. I notice some working electricity on the door and squint my eyes wondering why any kind of power source would be on. Shit I really hope this isn't the case...I really hope she didn't tell them.

I hear ruffling behind me. I turn holding a knife to their throat only to see it was Steve holding his hands out with a devilish smile. "Sorry babe" I whisper.

"Don't be, I like this side of you" He winks at me. I shake my head knowing exactly what he meant. Who knew Steve Rogers had handcuffs and a choking kink.

"Alright Captain kink, there's running electricity in the building so someone has to be here." He became serious and looked towards the building.

"Did you hear that Buck? Keep an eye out" I crouch again slowly making my way to the building. I heard grunts and a gunshot. I look at Steve who pulls his shield out. Fuck. We ran towards the entrance to see Bucky holding it open to usher us in.

"Ladies...Captain Kink" He chuckles. Steve shakes his head letting me and Natasha go in first.

"You're going to pay for that Aspen" I smirk at Steve who looks blood red now.

"Oh I know, did you park in a good spot Nat?"

"Yea a few clicks north" She pulls out a gun and flashlight.

"Shit, the walls are lit up. There definitely are people here." I lift a hand with a ball of electricity to help light the way. The lights were off but the building was powered. There were only two guards outside but that's normal for an abandoned facility, in case any agent needs a hide out.
