Epilogue

(Steve's POV)

It's been three months since the funeral. We released the rest of Aspen's ashes onto the lake behind the compound. Tony made a memorial plaque to be placed on an angel statue in her name. The world might not have known her as an Avenger but we all named her one anyway.

Bucky and Candice have decided to get an apartment together. They didn't want to loose anymore time after what happened to Aspen. Candice doesn't know but I helped him pick out a ring for her. I've never seen him so nervous.

Zemo gave himself up to King T'challa and the Dora Milaj in honor of his promise to Aspen. He named Maria, Liza, John, Candice, and Sarah his children in his Will and testament, granting them millions and titles so they could finally live freely.

The siblings now work together with Shield. They are being trained as a special ops group to work directly under Fury. Candice being the leader. She has really learned a thing or two about running a group of people from Bucky and Tony.

Candice had asked Tony to adopt them all. Tony wasn't sure at first but he felt like he needed to for Aspen. I think he's enjoying being their dad. It's actually opened him up to having a kid with Pepper. John has stayed in the compound with Tony, they both have high interests in weapons development. John only leaves when he needs to train with his siblings. He has taken Aspen's desk at Tony's lab working on everyone's gear. He's actually a great guy. I'm happy to call him my brother.

Wanda and Vision have left for a while. She couldn't control her powers mourning Aspen. I completely understand and don't blame her. Clint and Nat have come back from spending time with Clint's family, after everything everyone needed to be close to family.

"Bruce you called for me" I walk to the lab where Bruce paces nervously. "Is everything alright?"

"Yea..yea..yea I just...I promised her I wouldn't say, but she..." He rubbed his hands together nervously. Something was really eating at him.

"Bruce, deep breaths. What's up?" I leaned against a table crossing my arms.

"Remember when Aspen was taken?" I look down and nod. One of the worst moments of my life. "Before that happened she made Doctor Cho and I do a procedure, and promised us not to tell you until she requested it."

"What procedure?" I was curious. She never kept secrets from me. She hated lying.

"Well...we...uh..We have her eggs." My jaw dropped and my eyes widened. I remembered her saying she had scientists hold her eggs but... "There are eight of them. I thought...maybe if you wanted..we could help you, you know...have a kid, with her." I didn't know what to say or think. I thought I lost her. I had called fertility centers around the country to find these eggs and here they were the whole time. Now that I was so close to them I didn't know what to do. I just wanted a piece of her in my life.

"Wha...um..what are my options?" I shift around nervously. Am I even ready to be a single father?

"Some....something is hack....hacking my sys...tems..." FRIDAY yelled out across the compound. I look at Bruce then rush to Tony who was already checking out what was going on. 

"Tony?" I asked looking at all the screens. Aspen had taught me a bit about programs but I still wasn't sure of what I was looking at.

"I don't know...I was re-calibrating some of FRIDAYS security protocols when..." Tony paused with fear in his eyes

"Da...dad?..Help...help me" We all froze in place..it couldn't be...

"Tony...." I couldn't look away from the screens. It looked like a face was forming on it. Tony dropped back into a chair and ran his hand over his face.
