Thomas' POV
I arrived back at the cabins, a couple of familiar faces walked by, I was hoping one of those faces would be... her. But it was impossible, there's no way she could have made it out of the building.
I scanned the area looking for a possible solution to my problem, but all I saw were crops and cabins. If only I could access the berg I could go back to the scene of the crime, I could save her.
Frantically, I ran around asking around where the berg was, no one seemed to know anything. Frustration boiled inside me. A hand was placed onto my shoulders. I whipped around only to find a blonde boy standing right behind me.
"Get off me" I warned
Newt frowned still looking at me with pain in his eyes, my gaze softened after I realize how insensitive I've been.
"Look I'm sorry, I have to find Teresa"
"She's gone, the entire cities gone, the longer it takes for you to accept that the more painful it's going to be" Newt whispered softly.
"I have to check, if she's really there and I didn't check I could never forgive myself"
I saw him frown in concentrating, as if debating what the best answer was.
"fine. but I'm coming with you"
I felt a rush of gratitude towards Newt.
"Thank you."
"You're a buggin idiot you know?"
"A buggin idiot you love" I chuckle.
Newt's lips spread into a grin, whatever negativity I felt towards Newt could never last, its just something about him.
"Come on, Bergs this way"
I grinned and took off after Newt.
