The Affair

After Party

It's been two weeks since Katherine found out Brad was cheating. She let him come back to the house, but he's staying in a different room. She didn't want Natalie and Natasha to think that their father was leaving them. Katherine is walking out the house to get an ultrasound for the baby when Brad stops her.

"Did you get a chance to wash my pants?" Brad ask.

"No. Why would I? You know how to wash clothes. Plus, why can't you get Renee to wash your clothes, since you let her take care of you and not me, if you know what I mean."

"Are you still mad? I made a mistake."

"Yes, I am still mad and I always will. Now if you'll excuse me."

"Where are you going?"

I'm going to get an ultrasound." Katherine says and walks out the house. She slams the door. Katherine gets in the car and burst out into tears.

Natalie goes downstairs when she hears the door slam.

"Daddy, where's mommy?" Natalie ask.

"Um, she went somewhere. Go get ready for dance."

"I don't want to go. I want to spend the day with you."

"Don't you want to go to dance. We can go out to eat after."

"Can mommy go too?"

"If she wants." Brad says but really hopes that Katherine will say yes.

"Ok. I'll go daddy. I love you. " Natalie says and it breaks Brad's heart. How could he cheat when his daughter loved him so much?

Brad is picking Natalie and Natasha up from dance.

"Hey girls. How was dance?"

"It was fun. " Natalie says and Natasha just ignores him. They arrive at the house and see Katherine putting up dishes. Natalie runs up to her.

"Mommy, daddy said we can go out to eat. Do you wanna go with us?" Natalie ask as her mom picks her up and puts her on the counter.

"Sure. If it means I can spend time with you and Natasha. Go change clothes, so you're father and I can talk." Katherine says. Natalie goes upstairs and Natasha follows.

"I'm happy you agreed to go." Brad says walking closer to Katherine.

"I did it for the girls. I don't want them to think you're leaving, which you are. Have you found a place yet?"

"No, I'm searching."

"I'll help you." Katherine says sarcastically.

"I am finding one soon. Then, you'll never have to see me again."

"Girls, let's go." Katherine yells up the stairs. The girls come rushing down the stairs. They all leave.

They arrive at an Italian restaurant. This is their favorite place to eat. They order their food and then there is an awkward silence between them.

"Why are we here?" Natasha ask.

"We are here to have dinner." Brad says.

"Mommy, your belly is growing." Natalie says in a cute voice.

"That's because there is a baby in my stomach, like you were. You're going to be a big sister." Katherine says.

"I am? How did the baby get in there?"

"That's a conversation for another day." Katherine says and Brad and Natasha laugh.

"Natalie, you have a little sauce on your nose. Let me get it off." Brad says and puts some sauce on Natalie's nose.

"Daddy!!" Natalie says trying to lick the sauce off her nose. This reminds Katherine of so many fun memories that her family had.

Brad is at Renee's house. He came after dinner, but he didn't tell his wife where he was going. Even though, he was having a good time with Renee, he felt unhappy. He received a call from Katherine that made him rush home to see.....
