The Affair

Not Again.

Katherine was holding her daughter when the ambulance showed up. All she could think about was not again. This can't happen again. Her second child can not die. While she was hold Natalie, she could feel liquid coming down her leg and she realized that she was having a miscarriage. No, no, no. Katherine thought. Natalie cannot die, she's all that Katherine has left. The ambulance shows up and takes Natalie and puts her in the truck. They allow Katherine and Brad to ride with them. They arrive at the hospital and they take Natalie to a room and won't let Katherine and Brad back there. Katherine is in a room, since she had a miscarriage.

"The miscarriage happened before the accident. Did you fall of something?" The doctor ask. All Katherine can think about is how that all of this is Renee's fault.

"Hm... Oh yes." Katherine answers dazed.

"You'll be fine, just take the medicine I provided you."

"Ok." Katherine says and heads to the bathroom. She looks at herself in the mirror. Her hair is a mess and her eyes are all puffy. She tries to make herself look presentable but it's no use considering that she has a blood start on her pants. She walks to the waiting room where only her and Brad sit considering it is 10 pm.

"What did the doctor say?" Brad ask. Katherine can smell the beer on his breath.

"I had a miscarriage. The baby died before the car crash. Probably when Renee was kicking me." Katherine says and starts crying. " I'll be right back." Katherine says getting up and attempting to go to the bathroom, but Brad stops her. "Let go of me!!" Katherine yells and he lets go. She heads to the bathroom and starts crying and Brad knocks on the door and he then comes in. He sees her sitting on the floor sobbing.

"It's going to be okay." Brad says hugging Katherine.

"Natalie is all I have left. I don't have you, Natasha, or the baby. Why me? Why is God punishing ME? I've always tried my best to do the right thing. She's all I have left Brad. I don't know what I could do without her. I don't blame you anymore Brad. I just wish you would have told me you weren't happy."

"I was happ..."

"No!! Because if you were happy, you wouldn't have cheated." Katherine says while continuing to cry.

"I know that. I will regret it for the rest of my life."

"I'm going to go see if I can see Natalie."

"I'll come."

"No, I want to see her by myself. I'll let you when I get back, if they let me."

"Ok."

Katherine walks to the desk and they say she can see Natalie. She walks back there and sees her daughter hooked up to a ventilator. She almost burst into tears. She sits by Natalie.

"Natalie, you're all I have left, but you can let go. You don't have to stay if you choose not to. You can be with your sister and younger brother, yea you were going to have a brother but he died in my stomach. You don't have to stay in this world. You don't deserve to live with what happened with your father and I. Darling, you can let go, or you can fight. Fight to live. Fight to grow up and be a professional dancer. Fight to show that even through hard times that you fought. Fight for us. We are all each other has. Without you, I would probably die from depression. Mom not asking you to stay for me, I'm asking you to do what you want because I know you have a choice. It's either stay with me, or leave and go to a wonderful wonderland with your sister and brother." Katherine stays for about 2 hours and then she lets Brad goes in.

"Hey sweet...." Brad starts but then a sudden beating goes off and they say that Natalie got frighten. Brad wonders why she would be frighten by him.
