Greg's POV

Well, this just sucked. I didn't know how long I could pretend to be Rodrick until his bandmates found out, and I'm scared that I'll be stuck as Rodrick for the rest of my life since he doesn't exactly know how to learn lessons.

I sat down at Rodrick's drum set so he could teach me how to play. It can't be that hard, all you really had to do was hit things in a certain order. How hard can that be?

"Ok, so here are the rules for playing my drums." Rodrick started. "You can't hit the drums too hard! I paid for these with my own money and I don't want you to ruin them!"

"Alright." I sighed.

"And you can't just hit random parts. You have to hit them in a certain order. It will sound terrible if you don't." Rodrick said.

"You don't think that I already know that?" I asked, irritated.

"Well, you aren't really the smartest person I know." Rodrick said.

"Well same with you!" I responded angrily.

"Can you just stop so we can get this over with?!" Rodrick yelled.

"You're the one who called me dumb first!" I argued. "So you think that you're the only one who's allowed to be a jerk?"

That was when the doorbell rang.

Crap

Me and Rodrick went silent. We had no idea how this was going to work.

"What are we going to do?!" Rodrick panicked. "I didn't even teach you how to play my songs yet!"

"Don't worry, I've got this!" I told Rodrick. "And besides, it can't be that hard."

"Whatever." Rodrick sighed.

I went to the front door to let in Rodrick's bandmates. He didn't come with me since it would look weird if someone that didn't hang around them before showed up all of a sudden. I opened the front door, and I saw his punk friends waiting for him (or should I say 'me').

"Hey.... guys." I said nervously.

"Hey?" One of them responded, really confused.

"Let's go practice!" I quickly said, sounding too excited.

"Alright....." Another one answered, puzzled.

We all then went into the garage. I wondered if the drums were as hard as Rodrick made them out to be. Probably not, since he tended to be a little over dramatic at times.

When we got there, Rodrick was sitting in one of his chairs with a nervous look on his face.

"What is your brother doing here?" One of them asked. "He'll mess everything up just like last time!"

Of course! Rodrick's friends HAVE to hate me if he does!

"Excuse me!" I said, offended. "He is an amazing, smart, funny, handso...."

"Ok!" Rodrick interrupted. "We get it!"

They all looked confused.

"Ok! So let's start!" I said quickly as I rushed over to Rodricks' drum set.

"Ummm...... alright." One of them responded.

Everybody then got their equipment ready for practice. When everyone got ready, the lead singer announced what song we were going to be practicing.

"We are going to practice Explöded Diper first, are you guys ready?" He announced.

"Yeah." They all said. I stayed silent. I was too nervous to respond.

"Ok. We start in 3....2.....1!" The lead singer announced.

The band had begun to play.

I started hitting the drums and tried to make a steady beat. But apparently, I wasn't doing it good enough. It sounded terrible!

I looked over at Rodrick. His head was in his hands. He looked so embarrassed.

"Woah! Woah! Woah!" The front man yelled.

Everyone including me stopped.

"Rodrick! What the heck was that?!" He asked annoyed.

"I'm so sorry!" I started. "I just haven't...... been myself lately. That's all."

Well, I wasn't lying.

"Our show is tomorrow night!" The front man yelled.
"You have to take this more seriously man!"

"I'm so sorry!" I responded.

"Let's just try again.." He said.

He then counted to 3, and we played again. I tried my hardest to stay on beat, but I just sucked again.

"Oh my god Rodrick!" One of the members yelled, frustrated. "If this is some sort of joke you're trying to play, it isn't funny!"

"I'm really sorry guys! I'm trying!" I exclaimed, embarrassed.

"You know what?" The front man started. "Let's just resume this tomorrow before the show. Rodrick might feel better then. Something is obviously off with him today."

"I guess so." The guitarist said.

Rodrick's POV

I couldn't believe that Greg embarrassed me like that! Now the whole band thinks I'm an idiot!
I looked over at Greg angrily, but when he looked back at me I could tell that he felt bad. He looked pretty upset.

I then smiled at him. I couldn't believe that I actually smiled at him!

He smiled back at me, he obviously felt calmer now.

As the band began to leave the garage with their stuff, the front man of the band turned to Greg.

"You really need to get better Rodrick. Our gig is tomorrow!" He said.

"Ok, I promise I'll do better." Greg told him.

After the band had finally left, Greg turned to me.

"Well, I guess that playing the drums is harder than it looks." He told me.

"Yep." I said. "But don't worry, tomorrow before the band comes over again. I'll teach you how to play, and we'll have time to this time. Alright?"

"Alright." He said as we headed inside.

We have ALOT of work to do tomorrow!
