Drink after drink after drink. Davina was starting to feel dizzy and everyone was getting blurry. She had to take her mind off of everything. Eliot was trying to get her to stop drinking, claiming she's had enough but Davina argued otherwise and took another shot. She spotted Alice dancing with her husband all lovingly.
Why couldn't she have something like that. The choices she had was some idiot at the Desmond house who had just gotten shot and she feels no attraction to. Her eyes traveled to the hot, sexy, handsome beast that was Eliot Hartley. She sighed. Why'd he had to go and kidnap her best friend for. They could've made such great babies. Did she just think that? Davina had to get her mind off of him so she stumbled to the dance floor, leaving Eliot behind. She almost fell into the bride but she caught herself. How embarrassing would that be?
"I see you found the drinks!" Alice yelled over the music.
"Yea! It's been a crazy night! You sure know how to throw a wedding!" Davina yelled back. Alice was also clearly very drunk.
"Bitch, I know how to throw parties in general, give me your number so we can talk! You're a funny girl I'd like to see you more often!" Alice yelled. Davina went to get her phone when she realised she didn't have one.
"Uh... I don't have one. Sorry. Take it up with Eliot!" Davina yelled back. Alice gave her a confused look but shoved it off. They continued dancing, laughing with each other, very self aware of how dumb they looked. Over in the distance, stood a very sober Eliot. He was amused at the sight of Davina dancing with his cousin, for a moment his heart felt warm.
They danced into the night but Alice realised it was time to go. Davina was disappointed but understood, she would miss her new friend. They hugged and the newly married couple said goodbye to everyone and walked to their car. Davina stood in the middle of the dance floor, now sad. Her life meant nothing without her dancing friend. She felt a touch on her shoulder and she turned around to see Eliot holding onto her.
"I think it's time to go." Eliot said.
"What!?" Davina yelled.
"I said, I think it's time to go!" Eliot yelled back.
"What!?" Davina yelled again.
"Forfucksakes, I said-!" He was cut off by Davina laughing.
"I was joking. I heard you the first time. Let's go!" Davina continued to laugh as she started to walk to the car park. Eliot looked at her with a smirk and caught up with her. He put his hand behind Davina, worried she might fall over.
Once they reached the car they came in, Derek was already in the drivers seat. Eliot helped Davina hop in and put her seatbelt on. He traveled to the other side and got in himself. The car started to move and after a few minutes of silence Davina bursted out laughing. Eliot looked at her, shocked and Derek looking in the mirror to see what was happening.
"I can't believe, you almost killed the guy, Eliot!" Davina couldn't stop giggling. Eliot tensed up at the thought of the guy.
"Yea well, he fucking deserved it." Was all he could say.
"I, could've handled him myself, very kind sir." Davina smiled at him.
"Didn't look like you were." Eliot mumbled.
"But you see. I was trying to defuse the situation peacefully." Davina said.
"He didn't deserve peaceful! No one's allowed to touch you like that! No one except-" Eliot stopped himself from talking.
"Hmm. What if I had a boyfriend at the Desmond house, would you kill him too?" Davina laughed. Eliot was very uncomfortable with the topic of this conversation.
"You said you and the guy weren't together." Eliot spat.
"I could've been lying... or maybe I had another one... or maybe I have 10!" Davina broke into a fit of giggles. Eliot shook his head with the thought of her being with another guy. The rest of the car ride was silent except for the occasional hiccup from Davina. Finally, they came to a stop in front of the Hartley house. Davina looked at the house and a worried expression came over her. Eliot had gotten out and dismissed Derek for the night. He traveled to Davinas door and opened it. He was shocked to find the sight of her crying.
Something in him broke. She melted down and couldn't stop the tears.
"Don't make me go down there, Eliot. Oh, it's horrible!" Davina exclaimed. Eliot looked at the crying girl and something in him refused to let her even near that basement. Of course he had to put her down there because if he didn't that would show a weakness to the rest of the mafia. And he had to have no weaknesses.
"Ok, I wont let you go down there, love. I promise." He whispered. He lifted his hand and wiped the tears falling down her face.
"Thank you. Thank you." Davina cried as she pulled him into a hug. Eliot was shocked. This was only because she was drunk, he knew that. But that didn't stop him from embracing her back. She pulled out of the hug and drunkenly hit his chest. He was confused at the sudden change of behaviour.
"Fuck you!" Davina yelled.
"What have I done now, love?" Eliot asked.
"You-you- I'm supposed to hate you. You're a horrible person. You've done so many things to the people I care about but I can't make myself hate you. You locked me up and you almost killed me multiple times." Davina cried.
"I would never kill you, Davina." Eliot exclaimed.
"But the anger I saw in you terrified me. I don't want you to choke me. I don't want you to throw me on the ground. I don't want you to drag me with such anger." Davina ranted. Eliot cupped her face.
"I'll never hurt you, or let anyone hurt you, love." He said.
"Stop making me feel nervous." Davina whispered to him.
"Nervous how?" He asked. Davina blushed.
"Nervous... you know..." Davina mumbled.
"And what if I don't know?" Eliot whispered. The stars above them twinkled and the only light shining on them was from the moon. Davina didn't answer. Instead she looked in his eyes and he returned the action. His hand was still on her face. Davina started to lean closer to him and Eliot did the same. Davina, as drunk as she was, knew she shouldn't do this. But she wanted to. They kept leaning closer until their lips touched, both of their mouths moved with the other. Butterflies erupted in Davinas stomach, she had never felt such soft lips before.
It started off slow, both getting used to each other but the speed increased with every kiss. Davinas hands found their way around Eliot's neck, pulling him closer. Eliot had moved one of his hand in her hair and the other, placed on the side of her stomach. Suddenly, Davina felt something else and it was not a side effect of the kiss. She pulled away from him.
"I'm gonna throw up." She warned him. Eliot was shocked, was he a bad kisser? No, he's had plenty of experience. Guilt rose in him as he remembered she was drunk. Sober Davina would never kiss him. He undid her seatbelt and picked her up, bridal style. He continued to walk her in the house, to his room.
