The sun shone through the window. A sign of what should be a good day. However, Davina did not feel that way.
She opened herself up, only to get left alone when she was most vulnerable.
Fucking Eliot Hartley. She sat on her bed, her left overs from breakfast beside her. She couldn't stay on her ass all day. So she made herself get up, in Eliot's white shirt and underwear, she grabbed her dirty dishes and prepped herself. She had never been out in the Hartley house alone before. Apart from taking food to Charlie.
Speaking of Charlie. They were getting released. A smile then appeared on her face again. Maybe today will be a good day after all. Her curly messy hair was tied in a bun, too lazy to tame it. Her body still felt the touch of Eliot Hartley. The hickeys on her neck were not helping either.
Once she finally decided she was ready, Davina opened her bedroom door. She looks to the right and left, taking an extra second to look at Eliot's bedroom door. How dare he leave her last night. Without saying anything. She'd never open herself up to him again.
Once she decided the coast was clear, her feet started naturally tip toeing to the stairs, they found their way down each step until she found herself at the bottom. The area was filled with Hartley's, she spotted Derek amongst the crowd. There was at least 30 people there.
Davina couldn't help but stand there for a while, observing how they talk to each other, their hand gestures... smiles. So the Hartley Mafia have positive emotions. She then spotted Eliot walk in. He stood out without any competition. His dominance changed the aura of the room. The people did not falter their conversations though. Maybe he's not as scary to other people as she thought. He greeted Derek with a little handshake ending in a manly hug.
He talked for a few seconds, the way his lips moved and eyes lit up when he laughed was something she never took notice to much before. But then he stopped his talking and coughed, making everyone stop what they were doing and look his way. Davina moved out of sight, she shouldn't be there but she didn't want to make herself known.
"There was reported movements on the Westside of the property. I want everyone on guard, do not falter, do not leave your guard. We have now become known to the public, old enemies could resurface, we are in more danger than we will ever be in." His voice was different, like a true leader. She hadn't seen this side of him much. Apart from the warehouse.
"If it's one of those Desmond's then we'll fuck them up real good." A male shouted. A few others laughed and agreed. Eliot did not falter though.
"That's what gets you killed. Don't be an idiot, you're here because you're the best of the best. Don't make me move you back to another house." His threat made the group shut up. "Now go take over the others and report back anything you deem out of the ordinary." Once Eliot finished they all spread out, going outside in different directions.
It was the perfect time to walk out. So that's what Davina did. Once she made herself known. Eliot looked up at her, stopping his conversation with Derek. Buts that was all, he just stared until she went into the kitchen, out of sight.
She let out a breath. That was awkward. How could she look at him the same? She placed her uneaten food in the bin and walked to the sink. Once she turned the tap on she saw a figure walk into the kitchen. It wasn't Eliot nor Derek. It was another Hartley. Her whole body tensed up, but she did not move, she just kept scrubbing and scrubbing her dishes.
"Desmond filth." She heard him hiss. She did not move, she just kept scrubbing and scrubbing her dishes.
She heard footsteps approach her. The male leaned down so his lips nearly touched her ear. As if she couldn't tense up more, she did. She couldn't breathe. "If you plan to walk around with your ass out, don't expect nothing in return." A gasp escaped her mouth when she felt a firm grip on her ass. She dropped the clean dishes in the sink and turned around.
