It was another beautiful day in the Hartley household. For everyone but Davina. She ended up putting the phone back where she first saw it and fell straight asleep. Now it was mid day and Davina was expected to get ready for the ball soon. Except she hasn't got a dress or make up. Davina was about to go ask about it when her bedroom door got swung open.
"What's up bitch!" Alice yelled. Her light skin was now more tanned and a few braids were in her hair now. Davina nearly jumped out of her bed out of shock.
"Ali? Oh my god! I thought you were on your honey moon." Davina exclaimed as she ran forward to hug her.
"Well, I didn't want to say when it ended so it could be a surprise! Eliot called me in to pick your dress and do your make up and hair. You're lucky that those are my specialties." She smiled at Davina. Davina was over the moon at the sight of Alice. She had missed her red headed friend. "Now let's see... I've took your body and skin tone into account and I'm pretty sure I've found the perfect dress for you." Alice ran outside and bursted back in holding a dress. She shoved it into Davinas hands, along with some black lacy undergarments. Davina couldn't help but blush.
"Put it on Davina! I'll wait outside." With that being said, Alice closed the door behind her, leaving Davina to do her things. She slipped off her old clothes and put on the lingerie. She looked at herself in the mirror, Davina had curves of course, she was proud of it and the lingerie made her feel confident and like a bad ass. She then slipped and zipped up her dress and took another look in the mirror.
She almost gasped in awe, it was a truely wonderful and sexy dress. It was maroon red and it was silk, the dress had a v neckline which revealed parts of her breasts and as her eyes dropped down she saw it really did her hips justice and there was a slit at her left leg.
"You can come in now." Davina called out. Alice pushed the door open and her mouth dropped.
"Honey, if I wasn't married right now I would jump on you so quick." Alice complimented. Davina blushed and laughed. Then Alice made Davina sit down to put make up on.
"Could you make sure to cover the scar?" Davina asked, ashamed.
"I mean if that's what you want... it fits your face though. I don't know to describe it but it completes you. Sorry, I'm just blabbing on." Alice said. Davina was confused at the statement. Alice did as she asked and covered up her scar nicely and after a while she was complete. She got a mirror out and showed it to Davina. Of course Davina knew that make up was supposed to improve your features but she was amazed at Alice's skills. Her face looked like it had little make up except for the dark red lipstick but Davina knew there was a good amount on her face. She smiled at the sight.
"Ok, now for hair. You have volume in your hair but you also have a gorgeous jawline so I'm thinking a bun, yes, I see it." Alice rambled on, quickly she went to work. It didn't take as long as Davina expected, her hair was sometimes difficult to deal with but she did it. Again, Alice showed her the mirror and Davina was once again amazed.
"Wow, I look amazing... you're good at what you do, I'll give you that." Davina smiled. Alice returned the smile.
"Eliot is gonna die when he sees you, come on. He's probably waiting." Alice grabbed Davinas hand and dragged her down stairs. Davina looked up and saw Eliot in a black suit again, and once again, he tried to maintain his curly and messy hair but failed. Eliot turned around at the noise of high heels on the ground and made eye contact with Davina.
As soon as he laid eyes on her his eyes widened and heartbeat quickened. He diverted his eyes slowly down her body and even more slower up, once again making eye contact. Davina stood awkwardly with Alice next to her. She noticed the other people behind Eliot giving her different sort of looks as well but none were like Eliot's. She was so shy when he was looking at her, she felt so vulnerable.
Eliot straightened up, "You look like a goddess, love." He said, putting out his hand for her to hold. She just blushed and nodded her head at him, ignoring his hand. Eliot got the point and brought his hand back to himself. All of this happened while Alice smiled back and forth at them. The other people were dressed in dresses and suits as well, hopefully Davina doesn't see them as much.
"Everybody, let's go. Thanks, Ali for coming, you may leave." Eliot bosses everyone around. Alice says a quick goodbye to Davina and exits the building. Everyone else left for their cars too. So it was just Eliot and Davina. Eliot walked over to Davina and his once light green eyes were dark green as he looked her up and down again.
"Quit the eye fucking, Eliot." Davina spits at him. Eliot only smirks at this.
"Well I just gotta say that Alice chose the right dress." Eliot whispers, close to Davinas ear. The feeling of his breath on her neck sent sparks down her spine. Davina coughs slightly and Eliot pulls away. "Come now, love." Eliot says and starts walking. So Davina does the same and stays close to him. It was night again and Eliot opened the car door for Davina and she hopped in. She remembered something, something she thought was a dream. Of her and Eliot exchanging words and then kissing. She believed it was a dream but as she sat in the car it felt more real. It couldn't be real, Davina would never do something like that. But the kiss had been interrupted by her wanting to throw up which could be the result of drinking...
She shook the idea out of her head. As handsome and sexy and flirty as Eliot may be. She would never get with him... right? Right! Stop hesitating, you don't want him, you are supposed to hate him. But he's been so sweet to you. But he kidnapped your best friend. But I feel butterflies when I touch him. But- but... Davina tried to stop thinking about this. Eliot got in the car next to her, as always and Davina saw Derek was the driver again. A few cars started heading out of the driveway and so did theirs.
"Davina? Love?" Davina turned her head and looked at Eliot. His eyes were light green again and they were looking deep into Davinas own green eyes.
"Yes?" Davina said. He better stop looking at her like that or she doesn't know what she's going to do.
"I've thought about it... and I'm going to let Charlie go. They learnt their lesson but they're not to stay at the house, understand?" Eliot whispered. Davina felt gratitude and thankfulness towards Eliot and she moved over a bit and hugged him. Her chest pressed up against Eliot and he wanted to lay her down in the back seat and kiss her. But instead he hugged her back. Both of them felt warmth from the other and Davina quickly separated. She tucked a strand of hair out of her face and clearly blushed.
"Thank you." She whispered. He smiled at her.
