FIGHT - 14

She shrugged. Though she doesn't care if it is her birthday today, tomorrow or next week. It is like a normal day for her. She doesn't celebrate her birthday but she definetely have a simple celebration on Christmas. Although her birthday and Christmas is exactly the same date, there's no difference if she celebrate Christmas and not her birthday.

Napailing-iling siya at pumasok na sa eskwelahan.

"MISS SANTIAGO, I think you're aware that next week is our Graduation Day, right?" bungad sa kanya ng prof.

Shit, nakalimutan ko nga.

Pilit siyang ngumiti. "Yes, Miss."

"And uhm, you need your parents with you on our Graduation Day."

Napangiwi siya. "Can I attend alone? I am the one who's going to step up to the stage to accept my medal and diploma, right?"

Her prof sighed. "Miss Santiago, may I remind you that you always didn't bring your parents here in our school on any organizations, events or meeting with the parents. You always used the word that they're busy that's why they couldn't attend. May I know what's going on? I mean I know it's a family thing and I don't have the right to ask but as your professor, I really want to know what's going on with my students."

Tch. Mag aaksaya lang ako ng laway.

Umiling siya. "No, Miss. I'm really fine. My family are doing great and they're just busy with our business."

I don't even know what their business is. But I don't give a damn care about it.

Her prof sighed again in defeat. "Okay. If you say so. But if your parents couldn't make it, then bring any family members with you. It's very important because you need someone who will go with you on stage to receive you medals and awards."

"I can definetely do that." kampante niysng sagot. "I mean, I can definetely go to stage by myself and simply receive my awards. What's so hard about it?"

"Miss, I don't have any relatives too. My mother and father are only child of their parents. Well, I have a brother but he's in the Philippines right now so he's not available too."

Tumango ito. "I'll think about it, Miss Santiago. But that doesn't mean that if you don't have any family member or relatives with you, you couldn't graduate." ngumiti ito. "We could always come up with a solution." anito saka kinindatan siya at nagtungo na sa harapan ng klase.
