Namjoon softly sighs.
He washes the dishes with soft music in the background, rinsing out one of the plates for now. He used to hate doing dishes but ever since he turned his life around..he doesn't mind doing dishes anymore. It keeps him calm and relaxed with the music in the background. And keeps him distracted.
Namjoon suddenly feels arms wrapped around his waist. "Good afternoon sunshine." A sudden male spoke.
The taller curls up a smile. "Good afternoon."
The male deeply inhales. "Mmm, you smell so nice. Lavender?"
"Your most favorite. Right?"
"Certainly." Jicheol softly kisses his shoulder, caressing his waist. "Why're you doing the dishes?"
"I just need to clear my head." Namjoon mumbles.
"Aren't you supposed to be at work?"
"It's my day off."
Jicheol lifts his hands up to the male's arm and slides them towards his hands in the water. "You don't like taking days off."
"I know." Namjoon takes his hands out of the water so he could hold his hands. "One of my students asked an odd question yesterday." He says.
The male tilts his head. "What type of question?"
"He..mentioned about my past in some type of way." Namjoon turns around to face him.
Jicheol curls his brows, placing his hands on the male's arms. "Baby, it's been years since something like that happened."
"It's only been five years..."
"And it's only been at least eight years since you met him." Jicheol lifts a hand up to the side of his face. "Look, you moved on and you haven't seen him. Is that why you're washing dishes to get those thoughts out of your head?"
Namjoon nods.
Jicheol sighs. "Baby, remember who you are now. You're a gym teacher, teaching high schoolers. You're happy. You're not that young adult who suffered in so much pain. You're better now."
Namjoon curls his brows. "You're right."
"I'm not always right." Jicheol leans up to kiss the taller's lips. "Go to work, okay? Your stress relief is at work." He chuckles.
"Okay." He smiles softly. "I love you."
"I love you too." Jicheol leans up to kiss his cheekbone. "Now go get ready. And don't forget your ring like last time. Your students think you're not engaged and single."
Namjoon scoffs. "I won't forget it."
Namjoon quietly pushes the bedroom door open.
He sees Jicheol sleeping on the bed, having the nightstand light left on. He was reading a book but turns out, he fell asleep while having a page open. Namjoon just smiles small and quietly closes the door behind him. He quietly walks over to the side of the bed, softly grabbing the book from Jicheol's lap.
He closes the book, moving it towards the nightstand. Namjoon softly sighs, lifting up his hand to the older's hair. Jicheol always slept so peacefully, even in moments like those. Reading a book was one of his specialties.
Namjoon moves his hand to the place down on the older's arm. "Hyung." He caressed his arm.
Jicheol flutters his eyes open, knitting his brows from waking up. "Hm..oh, babe you're home." His smile curls up, sitting up a bit and reaching up to place a hand on his. "How was work?"
"It was good." Namjoon moves his hand to hold on his hand, intertwining their fingers. "I missed you during, so I couldn't be hard core for my students."
Jicheol softly chuckles. "My bad." He slowly sits up from the bed. "I wanted to pick you up today but I just didn't get to..."
Namjoon rolls his eyes. "You didn't have to."
"I wanted to. I got distracted and..stupidly fell asleep." Jicheol sighs sadly. "Gosh, I'm getting so old..."
His brows curl. "Don't say that."
"People already think we're gross because we're fifteen years apart..besides of us being both males."
"I don't care what they think. People thought a gangster and a soft boy seemed wrong back then for me. I don't care anymore. Fuck them."
Jicheol scoffs. "Okay. Okay, you got me. I'm sorry."
"Good." Namjoon leans up to kiss the older's lips. "Love you."
"Love you too."
