Blaze POV.

My flames began to disperse as I panted swaying slightly from overusing my flames. I heard shadows voice try to reassure me through my headset suddenly, I reached up to reply onto the have a sand bullet hit my headset instantly making it wither away. I watched rick, who using my flames I had burned his body into solid glass shatter apart and begin to reform. "I may have missed blaze but rest assured I won't miss a second time". Rick said almost numbly. He suddenly glowed as silver forced him to the ground. "It's no use rick just surrender"! Said silver completely confident. Rick seemed to go quiet for the first time ever. Then he slowly began to laugh. "Do you all really think this could work on me? Y/n tried a very similar trick". All around us bits of sand gathered into a small cloud taking the shape of a knife. It flew at me full force stopping barely an inch away from my left eye as silver used his power to stop it.

I quickly burned the sand turning it to glass. Silver let go of it letting it fall to the ground, along with silver himself. "SILVER"! He clasped his throat gasping for breath coughing violently. "Oh dear it appears he got some dust in his lungs". Cooed rick as he picked silver up by the head. "Now, it's not enough for me to completely kill him with, not quickly anyways it's just blocking his airways unless I make him wither now, much like this"! I watched in horror as silver slowly began to dry up. "FORGIVE ME MY FREIND"! I shouted as I sent a pillar of fire at him. It engulfed both him and rock burning off some of silvers fur as rick turned to glass once again, I ran over yanking him out of ricks grasp as I tried to quickly figure out a way to get the dust out of his lungs. Suddenly dust flew from his lungs coated in the glowing aura of his power. He coughed harshly as he sat up gasping for air, ricks attack had left him extremely dehydrated and winded.

Silver smiled slightly giving a very weak thumbs up. "Bastard, u-underestimated me". He mumbled slowly. "Interesting, no matter how many times I battle Sonics little group you all always manage to come up with ways to surprise me"! Said rick gleefully. I quickly stood up stretching my arms out trying to block him from getting to silver. "I won't let you hurt anyone ever again"! I said defiantly. I looked back at silver seeing his headset was also destroyed. It looks like help wasn't coming. Though just as I sad that sonic appeared carrying a wounded Amy, and knuckles. My heart stopped as I saw the condition knuckles was in. he stopped in front of me completely ignoring rick. "We need to get out of the city and fall back knuckles and Amy needs help"! I gazed down at knuckles seeing him covered in lacerations, burned off fur and his eyes, the poor man's eyes have scars across them. I could tell that he wasn't alive and even if he was alive he would be blind.

Sonic seemed to have completely lost his cool. Seeing that he had lost yet another close friend his mind must be snapping like a twig. "HEY DONT IGNORE ME ASSHOLES"! Shouted rick as he charged us all turning both his arms into scythes. Sonic growled as silver slowly stretched his hand over knuckles heart. "Good, n-no internal damage". He croaked. "You were smart to bring him here sonic". Whispered silver as he used his power to send rick flying into a skyscraper. Silvers left hand began to move up and down rather rapidly above knuckles chest. "Sonic can you find silver some water for silver"? I pleaded as sonic nodded taking off down the street. I watched in amazement as knuckles began to cough sitting up slowly. "H-how"?! I asked amazed. "My mother taught me t-that". Said silver smirking. "I used my psychokinesis to jumpstart his heart". Silver took off the clothing y/n had given to him and began to rip it apart using it to bandage his wounds.

Sonic soon came back with about twenty water bottles in hand. "W-why can't I see"? Mumbled knuckles as sonic tackle hugged him. "It's a long story you idiot, but your blind, maybe we can fix it just, stay still". Whispered sonic as he hugged him tighter. Meanwhile silver was chugging the water bottles. Suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my back. I glanced behind me to see a tail extending over thirty feet away stabbing right into my back. "Get over here you brat cat"! Said rick angrily as he used his tail to pull me closer to him. "Blaze"! Sonic and silver shouted as knuckles grunted confused. "Can someone give me a play by play"?! He stood up raising his fists looking for the nearest thing to punch. "Rick has blaze"! Said sonic as he began to run towards me. Rick smirked as pain coursed through my body. "Now I have you". He reached his claws towards my chest, I thought he was going to shrivel me up or rip out my heart; instead he stole the sol emeralds from me!

"Catch hedgehog"! Said rick gleefully as he tossed me at him. Sonic jumped up catching me bridal style as rick smirked. "Now nothing will be able to stand in my way! I will become something far greater than a god"! My heart sank as I understood what this meant. He was targeting me ever since the docks for the sol emeralds, but how could he learn of their existence? Only a select few knew of them in this world. "With the power of the sol emeralds and the chaos emeralds, I can become infinite"! He said with glee as the sol and chaos emeralds floated around him. "So this is why you were pissed flame princess"! Shouted shadow as he arrived with y/n close behind him. I pointed to rick to sum up our situation.

Y/n POV

I watched in horror as the emeralds flew into ricks body, they sunk into his skin as he began to expand, but instead of a huge megalomaniac scorpion I saw him rise into the sky as he began to turn into a giant sandstorm. "What the hell is he doing"? Asked shadow as silver ran over to blaze using his powers to keep her wound shut. "Rick is going to rest life on this planet to zero". Everyone turned to look at me. "What are you talking about"? Asked knuckles as he sat down. Man he looked like hell. "what I mean is rick is going to try to wither away everything on this planet then reshape it in his image, why else would any bad guy try to destroy the world"? I asked as the sky darkened. "No, I get it now. Rick said he had another planet a world he concurred. He isn't going to turn this world into a desert planet then rule over it as their god, and then he is going to move onto the rest of the galaxy, then maybe even the universe"!

Blaze frowned as silver slammed his fist into the ground. "Damn it! Can't we change the future"? Asked silver as he held blaze together. "All of you get back to the city of the forgotten". I said clenching my fist. "You can't be stupid enough to fight a world ending natural disaster". Said shadow as I began to walk towards the nearest tall building. "Yep her stupidity matches your sonic". Said shadow as sonic raced over grabbing my wrist. "I can't just let you rush in there head first you have no way to beat him"! He said sternly. "I almost lost you once and I'm not going to lose you a second-". Before he could finish I kissed him hard on the lips. His tiny tail shot up wagging all over the place, and then I broke the kiss. "Thought that would shut you up sugar hog". I said with a smirk. "A kiss is sometimes the only way to get a guy to shut up, now get going I promise I won't die".

He gave me a worried look then nodded. "Please be safe". He ran back to the others picking up knuckles giving him a piggy back ride as silver picked up blaze bridal style. "Be safe"! Sonic called as he ran off with the others. I took a shaky breath as I passed through a portal landing onto sky tower. I took a deep breath as I saw that the storm had spread all over the city, buildings slowly began to wither away below me. "So here you are staring into the eyes of death". I glanced to my right to surprisingly see Mephiles staring into the sky with me. "Are you going to give up y/n"? He asked me seriously. I clicked my tongue. "every hero has to make a serious choice fight with honor make your rival fear your voice die in battle to perpetuate your name or run from danger just to live another day, I had sonic take the second choice this has become my job, rick is just another monster I have to slay in order to save this world".

"I just need to unplug his batteries". I clenched my fist as I teleported straight into the eye of the storm. I felt my self quickly began to dry out. "Taste me special attack! Omnidirectional black hole"! Hundreds of thousands of shadow portals opened up shooting in every single direction I raised up both of my hands as another portal opened above me. Suddenly a chaos emerald fell through it, then a sol emerald and another and so on. Rick may have been all powerful, but he kept his batteries out in the open. Soon enough all seven sol and chaos emeralds were in my claws. I felt myself weaken as I fell through another portal landing onto the street below. I had stripped him of his power with ease. I watched completely unable to move as the storm began to dissipate. "Bastard, I won't ever let you kill anyone ever again".

Yet my heart began to sink as the remainder storm began to gather into a giant ball of sand. It landed right down the street from me. The ball began to grow legs; a large stinger appeared from the back of it as two long claws appeared from the front. What I was looking at was a massive sand scorpion, ricks desperate attempt at a last stand by transforming into a monster. Though my body screamed in resistance I got up to stand. "D-damn it, I only managed to get out one attack". He charged at me knocking me into a car with his claws. "You are a beast who knows only to fight"! I tossed three of my metsubishi at his claws, they continued water. He hissed as I summoned my tonfa using them to break his claws off. I jumped back onto a car nearly falling over as I began to pant; my vison swam as his body quickly healed.

"You killed me once, you won't do it again rick"! I said with a growl as I charged him. He hissed going completely feral as he shot multiple sand bullets from his claws. I dodged all but one that hit me in the leg, I went down like a ton of bricks as it started to dry up. "You have to go beyond your limits". Mephiles whispered in my ear as he lay next to me. "That will make me lose control"! I said as I tried to stand. Rick slowly began to crawl to me snapping his claws. "You lost control because I tried to take you over, if you do it now I promise you y/n the cheetah that you will be able to save everyone and become something far stronger then rick, though this being your first time the transformation won't last long"! He said desperately. "if you die I am going to die as well, now trust me damn it and unleash everything you have just like that day"!

I grit my teeth as rick raised his claws to finish me off. a dark aura began to surround me. "Deep down I feel a burning passion I can feel the burning power inside"! Rick brought his claws down as I raised mine. My hands turned into paws as my claws extended smacking his claws away as my body took the form of a shadow cheetah me and rick were both the size of cars. I hissed a bit as my power surged even greater. "With all I got I'll strike you down! Even if you stop it's too late now"! I said determined as he charged me full force. I pounced at him cutting all of his legs off. "This is the end I'll be your last! THE MOABIAN THAT YOU CANT GET PAST"! His legs slowly tried to regrow but I grabbed his back with my teeth and flung him high into the air. I jumped up at high speeds cracking the ground beneath me. he tried to shoot me with sand bullets but they were absorbed directly into my body, my entire body had become an impenetrable shield that his sand could no longer effect.

I raised both of my claws and brought them down on rick, slicing him into four separate pieces, but I was far from done as I continued to slash at him over and over again till he was nothing but dust. I roared as the dust floated to the ground returning rick to his original form. I landed on my feet huffing as the timer on my transformation ran out. I quickly returned to normal and stood on two feet again. "After the slaughter of children hero's and friends how did you think this was going to end rick"? I asked as I picked up my tonfa off the ground. He slammed his fists onto the ground then slammed his elbows onto the ground cracking it as he propelled himself back onto his feet. "Don't for a second think this is over y/n. I have not come this far to be defeated by the likes of you"! I clicked my tongue. "I beat you so easily when you had the emeralds, I mean damn that was boring". He chuckled darkly as he lifted up the chaos emeralds. I gasped as he growled. "So you picked them up during the fight, big whoop". I said pulling out the so emeralds.

"You know y/n; the final boss always has more than one stage". My tail whipped around as the sol emeralds glowed. "Let this fight be the last! You won't ever beat me not while I still have breath in my body"! He screeched as a grey aura surrounded him, the sol emeralds enveloped me in a black aura as I opened a shadow portal dipping my tonfa in. he frowned confused. "What are you going to bring out some new secret weapon"? He asked as he floated into the air. "No, my tonfa are my secret weapons"! I pulled them out of the portal as I flew at him full speed. "Sand wall"! He shouted as a large wall of sand appeared in front of him. "That won't save you rick"! I shouted as I brought my tonfa down on the wall tearing it down with ease. "WHAT THE HELL"?! He shouted as I slugged him in the jaw with both of my tonfa. Cedar wood is very absorbent when it comes to wood. This is the one weapon he can't just wither away.

"Just die already"! He said grabbing me with his sand; he sent me flying sideways into a building making it crash down around me. I burst out of the building flying right back at him. "GO AWAY"! He shouted as he shot hundreds of sand bullets at me. I twirled both of my tonfa blocking and redirecting every shot. When I got close he tried to stab me with his tail. "The same trick won't get me twice rick"! I deflected his tail then hit him hard in the throat with both of my tonfa; I spun around then hit him hard in the head sending him crashing into the street below us. I floated down a bit looking into the hole. I saw rick crawl out of it than collapse to the ground. There it's over now he can't do anything. His claws suddenly extended as they began to slowly tap the ground. "How blind we both are y/n". He said as he sat up. "I didn't have to create some giant sandstorm; I can erase everything in an instant with the chaos emeralds".

The ground and buildings began to fall apart, many buildings floated into the air along with the ground as portals opened in the sky and along the ground sucking everything up. "I'm going to erase everything! Neither of us understands the limitless power of the emeralds"! The entire world was ending; he was letting everything be swallowed up into a void filled of nothing. Reality was tearing its self apart at the seams. "You won't be needing these anymore y/n"! He retracted his claws then snapped his fingers. My tonfa and bandoliers full of metsubishi were erased from existence. "You know, at this point I don't even care about destroying this world anymore, after I defeat you and gain total control over this world. I just want to reset everything, so I can watch you suffer over and over again till the end of time"!

He teleported in front of me and hit me hard in the face with his claws, I went sailing through the endless void as he appeared behind me using his tail to impale me in the back. I grunted as he threw me high into the air. "DIE ONE LAST TIME Y/N THE CHEETAH"! He shouted as he turned his right arm into a sand axe bringing it down towards my face. Dying huh? There it is, this was the answer to defeating rick, I understand how I can beat rick now. I teleported narrowly escaping from being decapitated. I appeared nearby on a floating rock. "You're out of tricks y/n just except you lost"! He sounded so bored. I pulled out my claws and began to scratch hard at my forehead and arms. His eyes widen in confusion as I continue to make large scratch wounds along my body as I began to bleed all over. "YOU MUST HAVE FINALLY GONE INSANE"! He said with glee

I slowly lifted my right hand slowly curling each finger one by one into a fist. I opened a portal in front of me and thrust my fist down into it as hard as I could. He raised an eyebrow as a portal opened beneath his chin, my fist connect with it dishing out a devastating uppercut. He went flying upwards for about thirty feet then steadied himself. "You're almost as crazy as I am"! He said finally figuring it out. "Using your own blood to coat your body in a liquid"! More and more portals began to open around him. "It's time to finish this rick; here is a personal favorite of mine! My shadow claw Gatling"! I threw punch after punch into the portals each connecting with ricks body, I hit his face I hit him in the eyes I hit him harder and harder. "THIS IS FOR TAILS YOU BASTARD"! I shouted as reality was slowly repairing its self. The chaos emeralds flew from his body as the world returned to normal yet I continued to punch him.

As his body was beaten mercilessly into the ground. The street below him had given way creating a crater. "Y/n stop it"! Yelled sonic as he ran up behind me grabbing my arms putting me in a full nelson hold. "STOP IT LET GO I HAVE TO MAKE SURE HE CANT GET UP"! I shouted with rage. "Y/N YOU DONT HAVE TO FIGHT, RICK IS ALREADY OUT COLD"! He shouted back desperately as I stopped my struggle. Rick lay down in the crater, his eyes rolled into the back of his head, his body unmoving; his mouth hung open missing all of his teeth. Too bad he could grow those back. I fell limp in Sonics grasp as multiple military helicopters flew around the area, hundreds of foot soldiers appeared. I glanced to my right to see dr pogo with a phone. "This is dr pogo to base; rick the scorpion has been utterly defeated, acquiring him now"!

Sonic helped me over to the hole to see a bunch of soldiers restrain rick. "Put him on the mobile platform make sure he stays wet"! Said pogo as the let out a yes sir. They put restraints on his arms, legs and tail as they hauled him onto a flatbed truck, a helicopter with a modified sprinkler flew above it. "S-so it's over"? I mumbled grinning. Sonic slowly nodded. "Yea, now everyone who died in this world can rest in peace". He said as he picked me up bridal style. "Get some rest, I'll bring you home". He said soothingly as I slowly closed my eyes. The nightmare was finally over. The dark energy around me ceased as sonic walked over collecting the chaos emeralds. "I'll take this thank you". He then zoomed off. Heading back with me to the city of the forgotten. I can't wait for them all to hear the good news! I slowly closed my eyes as sonic jumped into a sewer heading straight for home.
