YUSHIRO and two other demon slayers rushed through the battlefield, immediately heading towards the injured ones.

The light-haired demon injected an antidote into the stone pillars arm, analyzing the amount of blood that was lost before grabbing a cloth to wipe up some of the mess.

A tear dropped from his eyes.

And he clenched his teeth.

"Tamayo-sama... please, protect these people, protect Tanjiro, I'm begging you." He rasped out, wiping the tears away.

The minutes passed by slowly.

And the love pillar continued performing acrobatics to dodge, weave and attack Muzan.

Tanjiro lacked the oxygen to move, black dots began covering his sight and he risked it by using his sense of smell.

"GO!"

The love pillar shouted at someone- but who? Who was-

A familiar scent filled the air and Tanjiro relaxed, not realizing his body did that without permission.

Then Muzan roared in anger as Tanjiro was carried away from the danger.

"YOU DEATH-DEFYING BASTARD!"

Tanjiro gasped as his view cleared, the snake pillars face was damaged badly, claw marks was slashed across his face, rendering him blind.

"Iguro-san! Your eyes...! All because you protected me!" Tanjiro rasped out, tears filling his eyes as Obanai disagreed immediately.

"WRONG! They got injured a while ago! You never shut up about other people, worry for yourself damn it!"

As Iguro continued to leap through the buildings, he explained that his little friend will help and with that, Kaburamaru slid into view, his tongue flickered out as his head bobbed up and down.

Iguro immediately leapt down and the place where they were before exploded into shambles.

And a familiar sword whip defended them again as another set of attacks charged at them.

Then Muzan came out of nowhere and went fucking peek-a-boo.

Iguro threw Tanjiro towards Mitsuri who caught him, defending himself rapidly against the whipping limbs.

And not even a moment later, roughly 50-80 meters of the building they were on exploded into shambles.

And the snake pillar began to battle, his friend describing the scene and predicting Muzan's attacks.

Then scars like old battle wounds appeared on Muzan, and the scars were the marks of the first sun breathers attack.

The wounds that Yoriichi had inflicted upon him.

Tanjiro charged forward, whirling around rapidly as his sword skills improved but by bit. The flame blazed through, and a dance was put on a show.

"CAW! FORTY MINUTES TILL DAW!"

Muzan paused.

Then he turned around and ran.

Tanjiro gaped and immediately launched after him, the serpent pillar coming into view and the Kamado screamed at him.

"IGURO-SAN! KANROJI-SAN! MUZAN'S RUNNING AWAY!"

And as Muzan ran, Tanjiro's eyes widened in disbelief as the demon just casually trampled on the corpses of his allies.
